Gradient AI:

Gradient AI is revolutionizing Group Health and P&C insurance with AI-powered solutions that help insurers predict risk more accurately, improve profitability, and automate underwriting and claims. Our SaaS platform taps into one of the industry’s largest data lakes—tens of millions of policies and claims—to deliver deep, actionable insights. Trusted by leading carriers, MGAs, TPAs, and self-insured employers, Gradient AI has grown rapidly since our founding in 2018. Backed by $56M in Series C funding, we're scaling fast—and it's an exciting time to join the team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with deep insurance domain knowledge, strong technical fluency, and an entrepreneurial mindset to join our team. In this role, you’ll serve as the connective tissue between our engineering, data science, and client-facing teams—driving the development of innovative claims solutions within the Workers' Compensation space.

You won’t just gather requirements; you’ll challenge them, refine them, and translate them into smart, strategic product decisions. You’ll need to be as comfortable digging into technical conversations with developers as you are thinking big-picture with executives. This is a great role for someone with workers’ comp claims experience, who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and isn’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table.

This is a fully remote opportunity.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead product strategy and execution for claims tools across multiple P&C lines
  • Partner with clients, sales, and service teams to identify opportunities, collect feedback, and shape the product roadmap
  • Present product concepts and roadmaps to internal stakeholders and external clients, including at the executive level
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories, collaborating closely with engineering and data teams
  • Engage in deep technical conversations with software developers, data engineers, and data scientists — and serve as a translator between business and technical stakeholders
  • Drive product development from ideation to launch, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Proactively identify and solve complex business problems using creativity and strategic thinking
  • Balance technical feasibility, customer impact, and business priorities

 Skills needed to succeed:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in a SaaS or startup environment
  • Must have direct experience in workers’ compensation claims and/or medical claims billing
  • Ability to engage confidently with engineering and data teams; fluency in technical discussions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable concepts
  • A track record of delivering successful products in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
  • A creative, confident, and collaborative mindset — you bring your own point of view, can navigate differing opinions, and think beyond the immediate ask
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML, data pipelines, software architecture, or tools like Python is a plus
  • Passion for solving real-world problems with practical, data-driven solutions

What We Offer:

  • A fun, team-oriented startup culture.
  • Generous stock options - we all get to own a piece of what we’re building.
  • Unlimited vacation days.
  • Flexible schedule that supports working from home.
  • Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid paternal leave, and more.
  • Ample opportunities to learn and take on new responsibilities.

We are an equal opportunity employer.

Salary Range: $140-185k base salary annually.
This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity grant, and a comprehensive benefits package. In accordance with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Law, we are providing a good-faith salary range for this position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as well as their experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Compensation may grow over time through merit-based increases, promotions, and company-wide adjustments. If your salary expectations fall outside this range, we still encourage you to apply so we can have a conversation.
