Today, Micromedex is evolving. With a modernized homepage and AI-powered search, clinicians can now find precise answers faster—supported by rigorously validated, evidence-based content. Our portfolio includes drug reference, IV compatibility, pediatric dosing, toxicology databases, and integrated calculators, all accessible via web and mobile. By combining authoritative content with intuitive, AI-enhanced tools, Micromedex empowers healthcare organizations to improve medication safety, reduce adverse events, and deliver better patient outcomes.
The Role
Micromedex is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our API and integration platform, including emerging capabilities that support AI agents and MCP (Model Context Protocol)-based interactions.
This role sits at the intersection of platform, data, and AI. You will define how our capabilities are exposed as scalable services and agent-consumable interfaces, enabling seamless integration into customer workflows, partner systems, and next-generation applications.
How you will contribute
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the product strategy for APIs, MCP endpoints, and integration capabilities
Evolve legacy systems into scalable, composable services that support both application and agent-based consumption
Partner with engineering to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance interfaces
Establish clear approaches for API and platform productization (packaging, pricing, versioning, SLAs)
Design repeatable integration patterns to accelerate partner adoption and reduce custom work
Shape how platform capabilities are exposed for AI-driven workflows and agent-based interactions
Improve developer experience (documentation, onboarding, tooling) to drive adoption and usage
Define and track success metrics across adoption, performance, and revenue impact
About You
Basic Qualifications
5–8+ years of product management experience, with strong ownership of APIs, platforms, or integrations
Experience building and scaling external-facing or developer-focused products
Strong understanding of API design, service architectures, and integration patterns
Familiarity with modern authentication and security models (OAuth, token-based access)
Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or agent-based systems — or strong ability to ramp quickly
Ability to operate at both technical depth and business strategy levels
What Sets You Apart
You think beyond endpoints — you think in capabilities and systems
You can decompose complex workflows into reusable, callable units
You understand that the future is not just UI-driven — it’s agent-driven
You are equally comfortable discussing:
API schemas
Business models
AI workflows
Nice to Have
Experience with MCP or similar emerging interaction models
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, fintech)
Experience with platform monetization or usage-based pricing
Why This Role Matters
We are evolving our platform to support not only applications, but also AI-driven systems that can discover, retrieve, and act on our capabilities.
This role will define how our products are:
