Lead the development of a new AI product from discovery to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define strategy, vision, and roadmap, while validating AI features and maintaining market competitiveness.

Trusted by more than 18,000 Shopify and Shopify Plus stores—like Brooklinen, Ruggable, True Classic and Dr. Squatch—Postscript gives ecommerce brands the tools they need to run a world-class SMS marketing program.

We’re on a mission to make SMS the number-one revenue channel for ecommerce merchants by delivering an easy-to-use platform where they can grow their subscriber list, develop and test their messaging strategy, deliver excellent customer service, and drive sales and loyalty—all in one place. We believe SMS is the most important marketing and sales channel of the decade, and that vision drives everything we do.

Postscript was founded in 2018 as a 100% remote organization. With more than 250 employees (and counting!), we’re backed by Greylock, Y Combinator, and other top investors.

We are building a brand-new AI product and are looking for a technical Senior Product Manager to lead it from concept to market. This is a greenfield opportunity: you will define what the product is, who it serves, and how it works. A core part of this vision is leveraging Customer Data Platform (CDP) capabilities to unify merchant customer data and power intelligent, personalized messaging experiences at scale.

You will partner closely with machine learning engineers, prompt engineers, product designers, and product engineers — and you'll be expected to go deep technically, not just facilitate. You can read code, write SQL, interrogate data pipelines, and stress-test ML model outputs firsthand.

All positions at Postscript are fully remote.

Primary Duties
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for a new AI product, from discovery through launch and iteration
  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap grounded in deep customer understanding, AI/ML feasibility, and ecommerce CDP architecture
  • Architect and drive CDP strategy — including customer identity resolution, behavioral event ingestion, real-time profile unification, audience segmentation, and downstream activation — with enough technical depth to make meaningful build vs. buy decisions
  • Define the data contracts and schema design governing how first- and zero-party data flows from Shopify storefronts into unified customer profiles, and how those profiles are consumed by AI models and automation systems
  • Partner directly with MLE and prompt engineering to evaluate model capabilities, define evaluation harnesses, set guardrails, and co-design human-in-the-loop experiences — not just review specs, but participate in technical design reviews
  • Partner with Engineering to design segmentation and activation frameworks that enable merchants to reach the right customer with the right message at the right moment, powered by real-time CDP data signals
  • Design and run rapid experiments to validate hypotheses; define success metrics, instrument tracking, and analyze results yourself where possible
  • Write rigorous product specs, success criteria, and evaluation frameworks for AI features — covering accuracy, latency, safety, and user trust
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, CSMs, and leadership to ship and iterate
  • Develop and maintain a deep competitive understanding of the AI and CDP landscape in ecommerce/SMS
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for the AI product vision
What We'll Love About You
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years owning AI/ML-powered products in a hands-on technical capacity
  • Strong technical foundation — you have an engineering, data science, or comparable background; you're comfortable in code reviews, data model discussions, and system design conversations
  • Direct, hands-on experience with CDP architecture — you understand event streaming, identity graphs, audience segmentation pipelines, and real-time data activation, and can evaluate tradeoffs in how they're built
  • Fluency with ecommerce data models: purchase history, browse behavior, LTV, churn signals, RFM segmentation, and how these signals feed personalization and predictive ML models
  • Direct experience taking a product from zero-to-one; you've made foundational technical and architectural decisions, not just roadmap ones
  • Experience in ecommerce SaaS, martech, or messaging platforms is highly preferred
  • Deep technical fluency with AI/ML: you can discuss model architectures, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation metrics, and data pipelines as a peer — not just a stakeholder
  • You write SQL, read Python, and can instrument your own analytics — you don't wait for a data analyst to answer your product questions
  • Understanding of data privacy, consent, and compliance (TCPA, GDPR, CCPA) as they apply to CDP data collection, storage, and activation at scale
  • Strong product intuition for when AI adds real value vs. when it doesn't — you are not an AI hype person, you are an AI pragmatist
  • Demonstrated ability to ship fast, learn from data, and iterate — you prefer a working v1 over a perfect PRD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can translate complex technical concepts for merchants, CSMs, and executives without losing precision
  • You have built something with AI tools — a prototype, a script, an internal tool. You don't just spec; you ship. Bonus if you can show us.
What You'll Love About Us
  • Salary range of USD $150k–$206k base plus significant equity (we do not have geo-based salaries)
  • High-growth startup — plenty of room for you to directly impact the company and grow your career
  • Work from home (or wherever)
  • Fun — we're passionate and enjoy what we do
  • Competitive compensation and opportunity for equity
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Health, dental, vision insurance
