Senior Product Manager, AI-Powered Automation

Summary:

Cobalt AI uses automation to elevate physical safety and security in the workplace. Our platform, Cobalt Monitoring Intelligence, is a hybrid AI system, cloud-hosted with edge-deployed hardware, that provides human-verified, real-time monitoring of surveillance cameras, alarms, and robots across enterprise locations.

We're hiring a Product Manager to drive the roadmap for one of Cobalt's core product areas You'll own the "What" and the "Why" working at the intersection of customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

Responsibilities:

• Own the roadmap for your product area, balancing customer needs (Fortune 500 security teams),
business priorities, and technical investment
• Define and communicate a clear product vision grounded in customer research, competitive
intelligence, and Cobalt's mission
• Make prioritization decisions and clearly communicate tradeoffs to engineering leads and
executive stakeholders
• Conduct customer interviews, GSOC ride-alongs, and data analysis to deeply understand
operator workflows and pain points
• Partner with Design to prototype and test AI-human interaction patterns
• Write detailed product specs with clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and
success metrics
• Work daily with Engineering and Design through sprint planning, standups, and review cycles
• Ship iteratively — define MVPs, instrument outcomes, and adjust based on production data and
customer feedback
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing on launches, enablement materials, and
competitive positioning
• Present product updates, strategy, and AI capability roadmaps to executive leadership and
enterprise customers
• Champion Cobalt's "human-verified AI" approach — ensure every deployed AI workflow includes
human-in-the-loop gates, audit trails, and explainability
• Partner with Engineering and Legal to ensure AI-driven features maintain transparency and
compliance

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping AI-powered or B2B
SaaS products
• Proven ability to translate complex AI capabilities into clear user value propositions that non-
technical stakeholders can evaluate
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable with SQL, product analytics tools, and data-informed
decision making
• Excellent written and verbal communication — can write a tight spec and present a compelling
roadmap
• Experience in high-stakes industries (security, fintech, healthcare, defense) where trust and
reliability are non-negotiable
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in an agile, cross-functional environment

Salary Range: $155k - $185k (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)
