The Senior Product Data Analyst will overhaul data processes, manage Amplitude, and analyze product usage data to optimize metrics and KPIs. Responsibilities include creating reports, defining user stories, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve user experiences.
The summary above was generated by AI

The Data Team at PandaDoc is currently overhauling existing processes and creating a cutting-edge insights infrastructure from the ground up. We have a reporting line directly to the President of PandaDoc, so we have an ideal environment for visibility and impact generation.

Currently, we have 3 teams inside the Data organization: Product Data Analytics, GTM Data Analytics, and Data Engineering (Data & Analytics Engineering). As a Senior Product Analyst you will report directly to the Director of Product Data Analytics, and will have the opportunity to shape the roadmap for data workstreams and product optimization.

For the next 2-3 quarters we have an additional need to overhaul our event taxonomy and Amplitude management. This is an opportunity to make sure we’re following best practices for all event logging and enabling better self-serve for all Product Org stakeholders. We’re hoping to find a product analyst with some data product management experience to take ownership of this overhaul in their first 6-9 months. After the initial overhaul this role will shift more toward traditional Product Analytics responsibilities with a smaller percent of time still allocated to taxonomy and Amplitude management.

Our Vision is to be the source of data and go-to recommendation engine for departments across the company... we just need you to join us and help us get there!

In this role, you will:
  • Align our taxonomy processes to industry standards and educate engineering and product teams about best practices
  • Overhaul our Amplitude management and enable self-serve reporting for all product managers
  • Analyze product usage data to identify trends, user behaviors, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for product initiatives.
  • Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Assist in defining product requirements and user stories based on data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to foundational data efforts, such as metric and model definition
  • Provide guidance and analysis for product optimization experiments
  • Grow impactful relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • Present findings from research and experimentation to technical and non-technical audiences
About you:
  • Bachelor Degree ideally in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, economics, etc)
  • 2+ years of experience in a product analyst or similar role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau).
  • A/B testing experience and strong understanding of statistical inference, experimental design, and analytic bias
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in with a wide variety of technical abilities and levels of leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
You’ll get bonus points if you:
  • have worked for a B2B startup in the past
  • have proficiency in Python/R for modeling and manipulating large datasets
