The Senior Principal Engineer will drive our Revenue Technology landscape forward by building towards our next generation connected Marketing, Sales and Finance workflows and interfaces to meet the rapid growth of these functions. We have a robust systems landscape that supports of unique business model and we are rapidly evolving to the next phase. The Senior Principal Engineer will be at the center of this evolution and will connect the lifecycle of data and interfaces that land in our top of funnel through back end processing.

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $232,200 - $303,150
Zone B: $209,700 - $273,775
Zone C: $193,500 - $252,625
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

- Shape the forward-looking technical direction and long-term architecture for Sales, Marketing and Finance platforms to the next generation suite of solutions with a bias towards building rich and delightful experiences.
- Collaborate with data, product and design leaders to understand and influence the broader department level long term strategy.
- Develop architectural standards and principles for a right sized mix of first-party and third-party products in the overall Revenue Tech portfolio.
- Bring leading industry best practices and technical vision as we bring AI and ML driven solutions to scale our solutions
- Connect the big picture vision into executable strategy and device multi year technology strategy that aligns with organizational goals and priorities.
- Be a role model for, and influence a large team of engineers at multiple seniority levels all the way from grads to principal engineers, and mentor engineers across the teams.
- Mentor, hire and develop other engineers.
Qualifications
You are the right candidate if you have:
- 12+ years of experience building software, with 5+ years in an architect/principal role working across teams. It will be a plus if you have experience working in Commerce, CRM , Marketing or Fintech stack of products, with an acute understanding of these business domains.
- Experience in building and operating large scale, high availability, high reliability services
- Experience in operational requirements and common challenges of software systems
- Experience working on organizational data, security and compliance-related initiatives.
- Well versed in using and building AI toolsets.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
