What We Need

The NetBrain Pre-Sales Engineering team is looking for an experienced Field Pre-Sales Engineer in the area of Network Management and Automation based remotely. This Field Pre-Sales Engineer will cover enterprise customers in Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota and provide technical expertise throughout our sales process. Enterprise networking experience is of paramount importance in this search and candidates should be located within the territory they cover.

 

The Impact You’ll Make

The Field Pre-Sales Engineer will be on the front lines helping our Strategic and Enterprise Account Executives to close six and seven figure deals with the largest enterprises in the world. You will help Fortune 100 companies to transform their network operations, and you will make a massive impact in NetBrain’s growth as a company.

 

What You’ll Do

  • You will lead technical discovery and solution development while performing various pre-sales demos of NetBrain software both on-site and online for prospective customers consisting of network engineers, network managers, and key business stakeholders.
  • Partner with Account Executives to create and refine strategies to support customers and sales opportunities with a focus on shaping customer initiatives, demonstrating business impact and achieving the technical win.
  • Provide technical sales leadership and oversight in the NetBrain Assisted Proof of Concept process (POC) via on-site and remote meetings with customers, proving NetBrain’s functionality and value in the customer’s environment.
  • Perform deep analysis of customers' network environment by capturing IT management pain points, shaping requirements, understanding their impact and proposing the most suitable solutions and describing the associated value.
  • Provide technical leadership on network technologies and deployments to internal NetBrain teams including pre-sales, post-sales, advanced services, marketing, and product management.
  • Make recommendations on potential product improvements to the product development team according to customer feedback.
  • Train and assist customers on using the many features of NetBrain to manage their network.
  • Act as the technical point of contact to prospective customers via on-line meetings, phone or email.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of major vendors’ networking products configurations, operations, and deployments.
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols, QOS, Security, MPLS, Multicast, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong technical presentation skills and the ability to manage key business stakeholders in very large enterprises.
  • You are a fast learner of highly complex technologies.
  • Previous Network Operations and/or NOC experience is preferred, not required.
  • Located in Illinois, Michigan or Minnesota and able to travel up to 50% within your territory.

What We Offer

Our comprehensive compensation package is vital in how we recognize our people for the impact they make on us reaching our goals as a company.

For this role, the estimated on-target earnings range is between $195,000 - $215,000. The actual OTE may vary based on a range of factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
