The Role
We’re looking for a Senior PR and Communications Manager to strengthen and amplify GoGuardian’s reputation as the leader in student outcomes for K-12 safety and productivity. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of PR initiatives and corporate communications as well as oversee our owned social presence in channels like LinkedIn. This position sits on the Marketing leadership team, reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller that thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on role and can balance communication vision with executional rigor.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute PR strategies that build awareness and credibility for GoGuardian across key audiences.
- Secure consistent national and regional media coverage that elevates GoGuardian’s profile in both local markets and the broader K-12 edtech industry.
- Position executives and internal experts as thought leaders through bylines, speaking opportunities, and strategic media placements.
- Own tactical execution of PR initiatives and continuously experiment with new approaches that strengthen visibility and engagement.
- Manage a part-time PR contractor and full-time content marketer
- Lead the day-to-day management of our owned social accounts like LinkedIn, creating a drumbeat of compelling thought leadership content that amplifies our brand.
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to amplify company content and proactively surface storytelling opportunities across earned, owned, and social channels.
- Identify and implement AI-powered tools to streamline workflows, such as project execution, earned media listening and monitoring, and reporting. Continually suggest & test new and emerging AI tools to enable PR/comms.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience in PR and Communications, with a mix of agency and in-house experience preferred
- Demonstrated success driving brand visibility and reputation through earned media and thought leadership, particularly in complex or potentially sensitive industries (edtech, security, data, government, etc).
- Established media relationships across business, technology, and local press, with familiarity in emerging media channels.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator who can navigate complex organizations and partner effectively with marketing, product, sales, and executive teams.
- Experience developing executive communications, internal messaging, and reputation management programs.
- Data-driven communicator skilled at defining and tracking metrics for brand perception, narrative impact, social media impact, and executive visibility.
- Exceptional writer and editor capable of crafting compelling narratives across press, internal, and owned channels.
- Eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment.

The typical base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000 per year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
