The Role 

As a Senior Power Platform Technical Consultant, you will be a key aspect of our mission to understand and transition functional concepts into technical solutions using modern design principles and best practices in software development for our customers and internal initiatives. You will be expected to execute technical and integration designs, along with documenting and communicating effort estimates and risks to solution architects, management, and clientele. 

This position combines a strong focus on development skills with an equally important emphasis on requirement analysis. To achieve success, our consultants demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, communicate ideas effectively, define and lead team efforts and utilize flexibility and creativity to present a variety of solutions. You must have excellent communication, analytical, and development skills to excel in this role. 

Essential Functions 

  • Lead technical discovery, requirements analysis, evaluation of solution options, and design discussions with client and project stakeholders. 
  • Design, configure, and develop Dataverse solutions using model-driven apps, Power Automate cloud flows, business rules, Power Fx, and other platform capabilities. 
  • Extend the platform when appropriate using C#, .NET, plug-ins, custom APIs, JavaScript, Dataverse Web API, REST APIs, and custom connectors. 
  • Design secure inbound and outbound integrations using Dataverse and relevant Azure services, including authentication, error handling, retry behavior, performance, and operational support. 
  • Define logical data models, data mappings, migration and synchronization approaches, alternate keys, and data-quality controls. 
  • Create technical designs, integration diagrams, process flows, estimates, assumptions, risks, deployment plans, runbooks, and support documentation. 
  • Implement healthy application lifecycle management using solutions, dependency and layer management, environment variables, connection references, source control, Power Platform Pipelines, and CI/CD automation. 
  • Perform peer reviews, unit and integration testing, solution validation, performance analysis, user acceptance testing support, release verification, and production troubleshooting. 
  • Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, maintain actionable monitoring and support documentation, and deliver managed-services backlog work when needed. 
  • Lead technical walkthroughs, communicate progress and risks, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively across disciplines and time zones. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of the platform and contribute to internal practices, reusable assets, and knowledge sharing. 

Skills & Competencies 

  • At least five years of hands-on consulting or development experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365. 
  • Experience delivering multiple end-to-end enterprise Power Platform or Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement implementations in a customer-facing technical role. 
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Dataverse, model-driven apps, Power Automate cloud flows, data modeling, and platform configuration. 
  • Practical development experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, REST APIs, and Dataverse extension patterns. 
  • Strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns, authentication, error handling, performance, and supportability. 
  • Experience with solution-based application lifecycle management, source control, automated deployments, and tools such as Power Platform CLI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub. 
  • Experience designing Dataverse security and troubleshooting application, automation, integration, and deployment issues. 
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation, develop reliable estimates, identify risks and assumptions, and explain technical decisions to both technical and business audiences. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, prioritization, and collaboration skills, including experience working independently within distributed teams. 

Desirable Experience 

  • Experience with canvas apps or Power Pages. 
  • Experience with Azure integration services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, or Key Vault. 
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 finance and operations apps, dual-write, virtual tables, or integrations spanning Customer Engagement and finance and operations apps. 
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Link for Dataverse, Azure Data Lake, or related analytics capabilities. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Builder, agents, or AI-enabled business applications. 
  • Familiarity with Managed Environments, environment strategy, DLP policies, Purview governance, or the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Azure licensing and cost considerations. 
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate credential, or equivalent demonstrated technical expertise.
