About the Role

Own the strategy, design, and execution of all platform integrations that connect Sully.ai’s AI medical employees with major EHRs, partner APIs, and healthcare data standards. Build and scale a high-performing team, work closely with Product, Clinical, Security, and Customer Success, and ensure integrations are robust, secure, HIPAA compliant, and loved by customers.

About Us

👏 Team from OpenAI, DeepMind, NASA, GoogleX, Tesla, and 2 physicians: 6 exits, 2 IPOs.
🔥 Our model outperforms Claude, Gemini, and GPT-4.5 on clinical benchmarks.
📈 400+ healthcare orgs signed in 16 months.
⚡️ $25M raised from YC, Amity Ventures, Sequoia scouts, and more.
🌎 $1T+ market opportunity. We’re going after all of it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own multi‑cloud provisioning, upgrading, and reliability of the core platform

  • Automate everything via infrastructure as code and GitOps

  • Ship fully automated deployments across regions

  • Standardize developer experience across areas such as tooling and CI/CD

  • Optimize our stack’s scalability and maintain cost‑awareness for AI workloads

Hard Requirements
  • 10+ years in Platform, DevOps, or SRE roles with production Kubernetes across multiple clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure), not single‑cloud only.

  • Demonstrated experience designing multi‑cloud architecture and portability patterns.

  • Proficiency with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, including ArgoCD and either Terraform or Pulumi.

  • Strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript for platform tooling and automation.

  • Experience running CI and CD at scale, owning observability (metrics, logs, tracing), practicing SLOs and SLIs, managing incidents, and improving MTTR.

  • Experience operating in regulated environments (HIPAA) with strong security, networking, and IAM fundamentals.

Nice-to-Have
  • AI/LLM production experience; OpenAI‑compatible APIs

  • Cost optimization for AI/cloud

  • Security depth (policy‑as‑code, supply chain)

First-Month Focus
  • Take a loosely defined platform challenge, write the requirements, and deliver a working solution

  • Audit platform, CI/CD, and dev tooling with Eng/Product; remove top blockers

  • Baseline key metrics (lead time, deploy freq, MTTR, cost per token); draft a Platform Playbook

Success OKRs (90 Days)
  • 100% infrastructure changes via IaC + GitOps; no console edits

  • Automated multi‑region deployments across ≥2 clouds; SLOs enforced; MTTR ↓50%

  • Engineer efficiency up 80–90% on routine workflows; reduced LLM and infra cost

Culture Fit
  • Persistent, driven problem solver

  • Willing to push back on leadership to defend quality and timelines

  • Thrives in high-ambiguity, fast-paced startup environments
