Who we are

One Model is growing fast as a leading vendor in the people analytics space. Our platform empowers organizations to bring all their HR data into one place, model it into meaningful insights, and deliver it to the business to drive better decisions. We’re a team of smart, curious humans building a scalable analytics platform, and having fun while we do it.

As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help us level up our infrastructure, developer tooling, and platform capabilities. You’ll help design, build, and maintain the foundations that keep our systems secure, observable, performant, and reliable, so our product teams can ship faster and sleep better.

The Platform Team

We’re the team behind the curtain, focused on uptime, automation, and scale. We manage our cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and everything that helps our engineers go from commit to production safely and quickly. We also partner closely with the product teams to solve shared reliability, observability, and performance challenges.

What you'll work on

  • Design, build, and evolve infrastructure-as-code, observability tooling, deployment pipelines, and cloud-native services
  • Solve scaling and performance challenges in a data-heavy environment (think terabytes across hundreds of customers)
  • Drive platform initiatives to improve reliability, security, and developer experience
  • Partner with product teams to support their ability to build, test, and release with confidence
  • Lead incident response and postmortems with a focus on learning and resilience
  • Mentor other engineers and share platform knowledge across the org

About you

You’re a platform-minded engineer with strong opinions (loosely held) and a track record of delivering scalable solutions. You love solving systemic problems, automating toil, and helping other engineers succeed.

Must-haves

  • 5+ years in platform, SRE, DevOps, or backend infrastructure roles
  • Deep experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CDK)
  • Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
  • Strong observability chops (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Go)
  • Pragmatic about security and compliance in a cloud-native environment
  • Able to lead projects and collaborate across teams
  • Calm in a crisis, curious by default, and generous with your knowledge

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a data-heavy product or analytics platform
  • Exposure to .NET or similar backend technologies
  • Familiarity with cost optimization in cloud environments
  • Interest in mentoring, pairing, and driving technical excellence

How we support you

  • A friendly, respectful, and inclusive culture
  • Flexible work options, including fully remote and asynchronous collaboration
  • Support for professional development and career growth
  • "Growing Together" development conversations (not just performance reviews)
  • Generous comp, wellness support, and mental health benefits

We’re an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds. If you don’t meet 100% of the criteria but think this could be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you.
