Responsibilities:
Determine eligibility, key/highly compensated employees, and resolve employee data errors.
Calculate contributions, including pro rata, integrated and new comparability profit sharing contributions, discretionary and safe harbor matching contributions, safe harbor nonelective contributions, and contributions requiring Earned Income calculations.
Prepare compliance testing, including 414(s), 416 Top Heavy Minimum, 410(b), 401(a)(4), Benefits, Rights & Features, 402(g), Plan Limits, 415(c), ADP/ACP, and 416 Top Heavy Determination Coverage
Prepare matching and nonelective contribution variance reports to determine the need for true-up contributions.
Prepare asset reconciliations and valuations for pooled accounts, self-directed brokerage accounts and/or daily recordkeeping platforms and be able to review those prepared by plan administration assistants.
Prepare Forms 5500, 5500-EZ, 5500-SF, 8955-SSA and 5330 and be able to review those prepared by plan administration assistants.
Provide audit support for Form 5500 filers.
Understand and explain plan document provisions and amendments in a manner that can be easily understood by clients.
Suggest plan amendments that will streamline the administration and operation of the plan.Respond in a friendly, professional, and prompt manner to address client inquiries.
Propose solutions to address and eliminate frustrations and problems with respect to the administration of the plan.
Convey complex and technical information in a non-complex and non-technical manner so that it is understandable to clients.
Mandatory participation in continuing education even if not credentialed.
Collaborate with coworkers as needed.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of processes and procedures, valuing creativity and innovation.
Qualifications:

Effective interpersonal communication, including the use of Microsoft Teams video calls, to establish and nurture trusted relationships with coworkers and clients to ensure everyone’s needs are heard and met in a thoughtful, professional, and prompt manner.
Ability to stay organized, to effectively manage your time via block scheduling, to prioritize tasks and to develop routines that will ensure your success.
Ability to work independently, take the initiative, and propose solutions and seek help when needed.
Analytical and detail oriented to the extent needed to get the job done.
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
ASPPA QKA, QKC, QPA and/or CPC credential(s) or NIPA AKS, APA and/or ARP designation(s) strongly preferred. Uncredentialed candidate would be required to obtain QKA within 6 months of being hired and QKC within 12 months. Study materials and exam fees would be reimbursed upon passing each exam.
Minimum of 5 years of employment in a TPA environment working with a variety of defined-contribution plans of varying types, sizes and complexities.
Proficiency in using ASC, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams is required.
Knowledge of PensionPro and FT William for filing government forms is strongly preferred.
