ZS' Corporate Support teams operate the firm's core internal enterprise functions. The ZS Legal Team reviews contracts, advises the firm on matters of legal consequence, and proactively assesses and manages the firm's risk exposure. The legal team is responsible for staying abreast of legal developments impacting the firm on a global basis and then advising the firm based on the changing legal landscape.
SR. PARALEGAL - EMPLOYMENT LAW & IMMIGRATION LAW
As we continue to grow our firm, we are currently seeking a Paralegal to join our Chicago- Merchandise Mart office to support our internal employment and immigration teams within the ZS Legal Team. We offer a collaborative working environment to support ZS' fast-growing, innovative and cutting-edge services and technology products. As a Paralegal, you will support the ZS Legal Team in its mission to provide legal services to the organization.
What You'll Do:

• Support the Legal Team in drafting employment contracts, policies, communications, handbooks, separation agreements and disciplinary notices;
• Conduct legal research related to U.S. and international employment and labor law compliance;
• Assist in drafting immigration-related communication and documentation;
• Assist in communicating with employees to gather information, provide updates and explain immigration procedures;
• Manage databases for tracking contracts, policies, and memos;
• Prepare and maintain ZS agreement templates and forms;
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel;
• Ensure proper handling of sensitive and confidential materials in accordance with ZS policies;
• Design, recommend, and implement processes and procedures to enhance organization and efficiency;
• Support special projects as they arise; and
• Perform ad hoc legal research.

What You'll Bring:

• BA/BS degree required with a strong academic record;
• Paralegal certification;
• 2-5 years of paralegal or similar experience, preferably with an in-house legal department or top-tier law firm;
• Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations as well as U.S. immigration laws, including non-immigrant and immigrant visa processes, labor certifications, and employment-based petitions;
• A high degree of professionalism and the ability to exercise sound judgment;
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a strong ability to review and organize numerous legal documents;
• Strong attention to detail and organization;
• Excellent writing skills;
• Proficient with digital tools and technologies; and
• Certification as an Illinois notary is desirable.

Travel is a requirement at ZS for client facing ZSers; business needs of your project and client are the priority. While some projects may be local, all client-facing ZSers should be prepared to travel as needed.
