Job Description

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining our global enterprise network.

Join our high-performing Network Engineering team as a Senior Network Engineer, where you'll be a key contributor to the strategic direction and operational excellence of our robust Core Network Platform.

This role is integral to a team dedicated to ensuring the seamless, secure, and highly available connectivity that underpins our global operations, with a significant focus on the US and South America regions. You will collaborate within a dynamic environment that leverages cutting-edge technologies from leading vendors, contributing to the platform's resilience and supporting its continuous growth.

As a senior member, you'll have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, mentor colleagues, and drive complex projects, all while fostering a culture of innovation and proactive problem-solving within a rapidly evolving industry.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 annually.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and loadbalancers.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols like OSPF and BGP.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Understanding of network security principles, including access control lists, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
  • Experience working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
  • Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
  • Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate records of network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end-users, and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Additional Information

  • Responding promptly to incidents and service requests, providing technical support to end-users and resolving network related issues.
  • Supporting and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimum performance.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers.
  • Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal uptime, throughput and latency.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and provide network solutions that align with organisational objectives.
  • Performing network upgrades, including firmware updates and hardware replacements, while minimising disruption to the operation.
  • Documenting network configurations, diagrams and troubleshooting guides to maintain an accurate record of the network infrastructure.
  • Ensuring network compliance meets our networking standards.
  • Liaising and working collaboratively with the UK Core Network Platform Team.
  • Using initiative and working autonomously on assigned tasks and projects.
