Design and manage service provider networks, mentor team members, resolve escalated issues, and ensure network functionality and security.
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain functional service provider networks. You will be responsible for resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated, mentoring team members, and addressing user needs. You will also be responsible for the functional management of our network, the delegation of tasks, and the resolution of network issues.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing functional network infrastructure.
- Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated.
- Mentoring team members and addressing user needs.
- Configuring and installing software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
- Monitoring network performance and integrity.
- Automating tasks and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Creating, overseeing, and testing security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery).
- Communicating with users when needed.
- Maintaining complete technical documentation.
- Suggesting improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
Requirements
- Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP).
- Solid background in network administration and architecture.
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
- Familiarity with access control models and network security.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Librenms network tools).
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
- Sharp troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Organizational and mentoring skills
Location would be remote in (Gypsum, Woodland Park, Leadville, and the Denver or Greeley area)
Salary DOE: $90k-$100k
