Working Location: Candidates with 5+ years of experience are eligible for in-office, hybrid, or fully remote schedules. A relocation subsidy is available. At least 3 visits (per year) to the Chicago headquarters are required. Please note candidates must be able, willing and excited to travel.

Job Description

The Senior .NET Developer role at ALIS is focused on creating and maintaining applications using Microsoft's .NET framework, with a primary emphasis on the C# programming language. As a Senior.NET Developer at ALIS, you will be responsible for designing and building high-quality web applications that are not only user-friendly but also scalable to meet the needs of our clients. This role involves working in a primarily reactive capacity, responding to evolving requirements and ensuring that the applications you develop are both functional and efficient. You will collaborate closely with other developers, designers, and project teams to deliver seamless solutions that enhance the overall user experience.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Solution Design - Expert level knowledge 

  • Coding - Complete operational knowledge of the SDLC and coding standards

  • Testing - Expert level knowledge

  • Code Review - Focusing on architecture and performance

  • Backlog grooming/sprint planning

  • Root cause analysis meetings

  • Branch maintenance

  • Hot fix releases

  • Sprint retros

  • Performing major releases

  • Reviewing Quarterly roadmaps

 

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

  • 5+ years of experience working with a SaaS product

  • Experience using Azure Portal and Azure Emulators, JetBrains Rider, LinqPad, Postman, Powershell, Sentry, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Code 

  • Experience using Atlassian Products, Figma and Figjam

  • 5+ years of C# programming experience in the following:

    • ASP.NET MVC

    • ASP.NET Core MVC

    • ASP.NET Core Web API

    • ASP.NET Core Blazor

    • .NET ORM (Entity Framework, Dapper

  • Communicative - ability to clearly articulate concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Collaborative - effective collaboration with colleagues, share knowledge and work toward common goals.

  • Adaptable - embrace change and quickly adapting to new technologies, tools, or processes.

  • Curious - Having a desire to learn and explore new concepts and approaches.

  • Optimistic - Maintaining a positive and optimistic outlook, even in challenging situations.

 ALIS asks certain candidates for 30 minute phone calls to gather additional information. After the phone screen, candidates that are selected to proceed in the process will do a technical interview. Certain candidates may be asked to travel for an in-person meeting. Please note that ALIS will cover all expenses related to interview travel. Candidates residing in border states within a four-hour drive or less will be reimbursed for mileage.
