Lead design, development, and implementation of MuleSoft-based APIs and integrations. Build reusable components, manage API lifecycle, enforce security policies, perform integration testing, troubleshoot defects, optimize performance, and document technical designs while coordinating weekly progress with project management.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:
- The client is actively modernizing its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial ecosystem.
- The modernization will optimize administrative workflows, reduce cycle times, and eliminate manual data entry.
- Key platforms in this digitized infrastructure include the CGI Advantage 4.0 financial system, Workday management modules, and PaymentWorks.
- The consultant will focus entirely on leveraging the MuleSoft ecosystem to build an automated, API-led integration architecture connecting these critical SaaS platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Develop reusable MuleSoft components, connectors, RAML specifications, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Architect and maintain integration flows connecting multiple SaaS platforms, managing the end-to-end API lifecycle.
- Configure API security policies, gateways, SLAs, and continuous monitoring through MuleSoft administrative tools to ensure secure data transmission.
- Participate in integration testing, error handling design, root-cause defect analysis, and performance optimization.
- Track integration defects and technical environment risks, categorizing issues by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low) in a weekly progress log.
- Participate in mandatory weekly progress meetings with the designated project manager.
Requirements
REQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive, hands-on expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Runtime Manager).
- Expert-level proficiency in DataWeave.
- Proven experience developing, deploying, and supporting REST APIs and specialized Mule applications.
- Strong mastery of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP).
- Documented experience integrating two or more SaaS systems within an enterprise environment.
- Advanced proficiency with JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth2, TLS, and modern API security standards.
- Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical integration requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (HIGHLY DESIRED):
- Direct experience designing or building API integrations with CGI Advantage 4.0, Workday, PaymentWorks, Tyler Munis, or Euna Grants.
- Experience designing integrations or middleware solutions for government or public sector environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Active MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD – Level 1 or 2) or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect certifications.
