The Hardware Supply Demand Planning team is seeking a Senior Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of Toast’s global hardware supply forecasts. Specifically - the Senior Manager will play a significant role in designing, implementing, and executing planning and reporting processes for these plans, as well as integrating these plans into other functions throughout the company.


About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Lead the forecasting of global hardware supply, and manage 18 month supply plans by region and 3PL. Generate weekly and monthly plans that meet Toast operational needs, and work closely with stakeholders to integrate plans across the organization as needed.
  • Establish ideal inventory levels by SKU by region, and regularly update as needed based on lead time updates and changes in demand volatility.
  • Act as a liaison between Demand Planning and Operations Program Management teams to drive inventory levels based on Toast’s needs.
  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and the baseline assumptions of the supply plans. Work closely with the broader Supply Chain teams in developing and implementing contingency plans as needed to mitigate impacts to Toast customers.
  • Track and communicate month over month and cumulative supply plan changes by product by supplier.
  • Own NPI supply forecasting, and manage all supply planning requests related to new launches (SKU transition planning, long lead time component needs, etc.).
  • Manage end of sale inventory planning, and regularly communicate inventory runout timing with cross functional teams.
  • Report and track against any excess inventory liabilities with risk of scrap, and help lead any disposition options (internally and externally).
  • Own and manage all inventory reporting, including dashboards and ad hoc analysis.
  • Responsible for presenting weekly supply metrics, and any recommended updates and actions based on constrained supply or supply risks.
  • Responsible for preparing supply planning updates and presenting at monthly S&OP meeting with leadership and cross functional teams.
  • Partner and work closely with the business systems team to develop internal and external tools to make the supply planning function sustainable and scalable.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in forecasting and budgeting in a high growth environment
  • Expert spreadsheet skills; extensive experience building financial and/or operational models, analyzing large data sets, and collating data from multiple sources
  • Excellent communication skills; experience presenting complex data to executive stakeholders; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
  • Ability to think creatively and critically, and thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous work environment
  • Experience with transitioning from spreadsheets to systems, automating processes and tools

Special sauce*:

  • MBA
  • Prior planning experience in consumer electronics or other high-value consumer goods
  • Experience querying and manipulating data using SQL and/or Python
  • Experience with Javascript

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).

$119,000$190,000 USD
