STARLIMS is a private equity-backed enterprise software company at an inflection point — scaling its platform, professionalizing its go-to-market, and building the leadership infrastructure for its next phase of growth.

STARLIMS is hiring a Senior Manager, Strategic Programs to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This is not an executive assistant role — it's an execution role for someone who turns strategic priorities into structured plans, drives cross-functional programs to completion, and moves leadership decisions to results. You'll have direct exposure to company strategy, board-level reporting, and the inner workings of a private equity-backed enterprise software company scaling its platform and go-to-market. You'll start as an individual contributor, with the runway to build a career on the Chief of Staff track or by moving into a role within the functions at STARLIMS.

Responsibilities:

Executive Team Operations

  • Drive the cadence of ELT meetings, townhalls, offsites, and annual planning — agendas, materials, follow-ups, and action-item tracking.

  • Advance CEO and company-level priorities to completion through hands-on coordination and follow-up.

  • Design and own the quarterly business review (QBR) process across the company — standardizing format, cadence, and inputs, and coordinating each function so reviews run consistently and tie back to company goals.

  • Coordinate materials and logistics for board and board-related meetings.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Partner with the CEO and ELT to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear owners and timelines.

  • Lead cross-functional strategic programs (e.g., product launches, M&A integration, GTM initiatives) and company projects from kickoff through delivery.

  • Track progress against company-level goals, working across the business to surface risks, dependencies, and decisions that need executive attention.

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Build out an OKR system from the company level down through the functions, and drive adoption across leadership.

  • Build systems and reporting that give leadership real-time visibility into priorities, commitments, and decisions — improving meeting effectiveness and accountability.

  • Identify and resolve process bottlenecks that slow execution across teams.

What Success Looks Like:

In your first 6–12 months, success looks like:

  • The ELT operating rhythm — meetings, townhalls, offsites, board meetings, and annual planning — runs on a predictable cadence, with agendas set, materials prepared, and every action item tracked to closure.

  • A standardized, company-wide QBR process is live and adopted by every function, with reviews tying directly back to company goals.

  • Board and board-related materials are produced on a tightened, reliable turnaround the CEO trusts.

  • The CEO's top priorities for the period are delivered — supported by a single source-of-truth priority tracker the ELT reviews on a regular cadence.

Requirements:

Required

  • 5+ years in strategy, business operations, program management, or consulting — ideally at a SaaS or high-growth tech company.

  • Track record leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes, not just coordinating them.

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented — nothing falls through the cracks; catches the gaps in materials and holds every open commitment to closure.

  • Structured thinker who brings order to ambiguity — breaks broad priorities into clear workstreams with owners and timelines.

  • High motor and grit — self-directed, resourceful, and relentless on follow-through; owns outcomes end-to-end without needing to be chased.

  • Strong executive communication and relationship-building — comfortable preparing board-ready materials, advising senior leaders, and working across teams and leadership styles.

  • Sound judgment with confidential information — knows when to escalate and when to run independently.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity — this role gets defined in part by what you make of it.

Preferred:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

  • Experience in regulated, scientific, or vertical SaaS — a fit for STARLIMS's customer base.

  • Fluent with modern productivity, data-analysis, and AI tools, with good judgment about accuracy and responsible use of AI-generated content.
