Job Description:Senior Manager of SerDes Design and Build
Leads a team of engineers responsible for design, physical implementation, and delivery of high-speed SerDes IP (e.g. 200G/400G, PCIe Gen 7) that is used in our custom ASIC designs. Team’s responsibilities include macro definition, RTL development, timing constraints development, verification co-definition, synthesis, timing analysis/closure, formal verification, place and route, documentation, generating deliverables, and delivering IP to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the development, build and delivery of high-speed SerDes IP across multiple projects and product lines, by taking SerDes base macros and integrating based features such as custom interfaces and overrides (i.e. SBUS), EBIST memories and test features.
Create/track development schedule for each macro that meets product needs and modify schedules as business unit priorities change. Work with DI teams on interim deliverables as required when full set of BOM cannot be provided due to schedule constraints.
Guide the physical implementation (synthesis, place and route, timing closure) to produce a hardened IP.
Lead the team to generate full set of BOM to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.
Work with cross-functional teams, including teams in other divisions, to ensure the following:
SerDes IP specifications meet our design needs.
Timely delivery of SerDes IP to meet the schedule needs of our internal and external customers.
Delivery of high quality SerDes IP.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 15+ years of experience in leading engineering teams to deliver complex digital/mixed-signal SoC designs with 5 years in management.
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage teams spread across geographical time-zones.
Experience with front-end design flows (Lint/CDC/Synthesis/DFT) and close coordination with backend teams for taping out.
Experience in SerDes design and physical implementation is a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $147,400- $235,800.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
