What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Support the selection of Scout’s operational and technical retail finance partners
  • Lead retail finance partner contract negotiations and onboarding, reporting progress to top management
  • Translate Scout’s retail finance strategy and partner relationships into a complete set of launch-ready relationships, tools, processes, and offers
  • Together with Scout Digital and Scout IT, establish user needs, use cases, and overall business parameters for the software tools and integrations necessary to develop, market, and manage retail finance and lease offers in a seamless, customer-centric manner
  • Oversee the process of securing the necessary retail lending licenses required to execute Scout’s retail finance strategy
  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap to ensure launch readiness for all retail finance and lease offers, integrations and tools in time for the launch of Scout customer sales
  • Develop communications, offer creation, tracking, reconciliation and other operational mechanisms to manage the ongoing relationship between Scout Motors’ internal stakeholder groups as well as its retail finance partners
  • In conjunction with Scout Programs & Incentives, identify and secure the data necessary to track Scout’s lease and retail finance offer competitiveness, developing and managing relevant dashboards and reports

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the future Scout Motors corporate headquarters, which is anticipated to be identified in 2025. This role may be remote to start but will transition to an in-office setting at the headquarters after the location is determined and you are expected to relocate at such time. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City. #LI-Remote #LI-Hybrid
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
  • Travel: Domestically, up to 25% of the time. Valid driver license required. 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience managing OEM retail finance operations, sales planning, incentives management, and competitiveness monitoring
  • A diverse history and skillset within automotive retail finance and/or sales operations that enables you to function both as an operations generalist and a topical specialist capable of quickly grasping the detailed tasks necessary to manage all aspects of OEM retail finance operations
  • A desire to build from a clean sheet that is supported by a talent for creating process, defining tasks, and building alignment with numerous stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain healthy cross-functional relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset and capabilities, augmented by a high degree of technical know-how and savvy with data and analytics tools
  • Proven track record of building a motivated, high-performing team and developing a fun and productive team culture
  • Intuitive ability to navigate organizational complexity and confidently lead strategic, data-driven discussions with top management
  • Willingness to establish two-way lines of communication with front-line operations in order to gather market feedback and translate that into actionable insights to sharpen the company’s competitive position
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $150,000.00 - $181,250.00
