How you will contribute:
- Develop the annual plan for the Franchise they support. In collaboration with the marketing team to determine the fee-for-service needs with HCPs and patients for the year.
- Lead strategically aligned initiatives and ensure their successful execution through engagement, including:
- Partner with brand/provider lead to develop peer to peer content ensuring content aligns with brand messaging and Franchise strategy/strategic imperatives for that audience.
- Develop provider engagement strategy to identify market trends and insights about the market, disease state and brand to inform brand and Franchise strategic choices and investment planning.
- Gain concept approval, recruit, develop content/discussion guides, and execute advisory boards and consultant meetings to gain insights that would inform brand strategies and tactics in anticipation of meeting organizational needs.
- Provide speaker bureau program recommendation for Franchise and (if applicable) manage bureau following all policies.
- Management and execution of symposia or product theaters at Regional and National Congresses.
- Identify disease state or market unmet needs. specific to health equity. Share insights and considerations for addressing (based on bandwidth, budget, and strategic choices) with Franchise as part of brand planning cycle.
- Manage HCP engagement platform to track engagements, organize insights, and ensure members of Takeda are set-up to show up as one company with enterprise alignment when meeting with customers.
- Responsible for budget management and measuring the performance of any programs/tactics they oversee, reporting back to Franchise and their manager on an ongoing basis. Specifically:
- Provide annual budget forecast recommendation for purchase orders they oversee; open POs and track spend against forecast; perform all monthly accruals and invoicing, and update forecast for financial planning cycles - identifying any tradeoffs.
- Track activities against Annual Plan commitments.
- Identify trends and insights to optimize spend, and, program performance.
- Consult with legal, regulatory, and ethics & compliance to ensure all activities are compliant with policies and regulations. As a Project Owner of promotional tactics, responsible for working within the internal review process on a consultative basis to seek input on concepts and to seek required approvals for marketing strategies and tactics.
- Manage external agencies and consultants/contractors to meet project expectations to be completed on time hold them accountable to agreed standards and contract expectations while showing ability to partner with these party to ensure prioritization of larger patient, customer, and business needs.
- Be back-up for team members as needed and direct manager when requested.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required with a focus in Biology, Marketing, Strategy, and/or Business Administration preferred.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible marketing, sales, or healthcare system/provider experience or related experience within the bio-pharmaceutical industry required.
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and experience partnering with thought leaders/key opinion leaders and ability to consult with these customers.
- Experience developing Speaker Bureau strategy, training, content development and speaker programs and regional/national symposia execution is highly preferred.
- Must have strong leadership skills with an ability to set direction, generate commitment, identify, and resolve issues, and evaluate risk. Equally important is the ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams at varying levels with a proven ability to influence without authority.
- Pivot to meet customer, team, and business needs, and proactive in capturing and measuring/reporting on the execution of activities.
- Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously - showing strong acumen for prioritization and time management.
- Must have analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Must have financial management and budgeting capabilities.
- Requires approximately 30% travel.
- Travel to Cambridge, MA office at least once every 2 months.
