Salary range: $120,000-$135,000 annually plus a 15% AIP eligibility. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

Job Description: The Quoting Manager to lead our quoting and cost estimation efforts. This role will play a critical part in driving our pricing strategies and ensuring our estimates align with the business's goals for competitiveness, profitability, and growth. The Quoting Manager will oversee all quoting activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce accurate and timely quotes that reflect market conditions and customer needs.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports, ensuring effective teamwork and continuous improvement in the quoting process.

  • Ensures and promotes the development of the team/succession planning through coaching, training, and leadership development.

  • Manages the staffing through the appropriate hiring and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.

  • Ensures all employees receive the appropriate training and education, including ongoing compliance training.

  • Ensures compliance with established organizational and regulatory guidelines and procedures to provide high quality service and outstanding customer care.

  • Ensures a strong and robust communications process between cross-functional teammates within relevant areas and across the division as needed by leading communications sessions and meetings with managers and ensuring the appropriate dissemination of communications to support staff.

  • Oversee the entire quoting and cost estimation process, working with operational leadership at assure accurate cost estimation.

  • Participate in the implementation of divisional and company initiatives and strategies.

  • Participates in the development of divisional strategic plans, goals, and objectives ensuring alignment with those of the team, division, and company.

  • Develop and refine pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, production) to ensure quotes are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with project goals.

  • Collaborate with finance, operations, marketing and procurement and analyze market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date quoting processes.

  • Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships, ensuring their needs and timelines are met with accurate quotes.

  • Lead initiatives to streamline quoting systems and introduce efficiencies in the process.

  • Provide periodic reporting to senior leadership on quoting performance and profitability metrics.

  • Directs, administers and controls the day-to-day operations and activities of the quoting team including process improvement.

  • Participate in the implementation of divisional and company initiatives and strategies.

  • Practices cost containment strategies, maintaining profitability and growth of area.

  • Coordinates operation strategies and activities to ensure the provision of outstanding customer service while adhering to regulatory and company guidelines and requirements ensuring efficiency and economy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the changing needs of the organization.

Qualifying Experience:

  • Staffing, planning, and people management

  • Managing performance and profitability

  • Financial planning and strategy

  • Promoting process improvement

  • Strategic planning

  • Dealing with complexity, analyzing information, and implementing company vision

  • 5+ years of experience in quoting, cost estimation, or related fields within the manufacturing industry.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute pricing strategies.

  • Experience managing direct reports, with a focus on mentoring and professional development.

  • Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of cost structures, market conditions, and manufacturing processes.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in precision manufacturing or related industries.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems or quoting software.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
