Zayo is seeking a Senior Manager, Networking to lead the design, management, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The Senior Manager, Networking focuses on managing network services, troubleshooting network issues, and implementing network security protocols. The Senior Manager, Networking will oversee network engineers, support IT infrastructure initiatives, and align network strategies with business needs.

Responsibilities:

Network Management & Optimization

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of LAN, WAN, VPN, and network security systems.

  • Implement network configurations, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure system stability and security.

  • Monitor network performance, identifying and resolving network issues proactively.

  • Manage network capacity planning and performance tuning to meet business requirements.

Network Security & Compliance

  • Develop and implement network security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management practices.

  • Implement and maintain network monitoring tools to detect and respond to security threats.

Automation & Efficiency

  • Implement automation scripts and tools to optimize network management processes.

  • Stay updated on network technologies and trends, recommending innovations to enhance network infrastructure.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of network engineers, providing mentorship, training, and technical guidance.

  • Promote a collaborative work environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Metrics and Reporting

  • Establish and track KPIs related to network performance, uptime, and security incidents.

  • Provide network status reports to senior management, offering insights and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in network management or IT infrastructure roles.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience managing network operations teams.

  • Relevant networking certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CompTIA Network+) preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.

  • Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nmap).

Estimated Base Salary Range: $108,500 - $155,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
