Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Martech (Salesforce) is responsible for driving the growth, strategy, delivery excellence, and operational leadership of CDW's Salesforce business within the broader MarTech practice. This leader serves as the primary delivery and business leader for Salesforce-related services, including Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Agentforce, CRM, Industry Clouds, and AI-powered customer engagement solutions. The role partners closely with Sales, Alliances, Solution Architecture, delivery leaders, and strategic partners to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, expand Salesforce services revenue, grow customer relationships, and ensure successful delivery outcomes. This leader is accountable for Salesforce business growth, financial performance, customer success, coworker development, partner alignment, and delivery quality while helping build CDW's long-term Salesforce services capabilities.
What you will do
Salesforce Business Strategy and Growth within MarTech
* Define and execute the Salesforce services growth strategy within the broader MarTech portfolio.
* Build and scale Salesforce services across Commercial, Enterprise, Healthcare, Financial Services, State and Local Government, Education, and Federal markets.
* Partner with sellers to identify, qualify, shape, and accelerate Salesforce opportunities.
* Develop differentiated Salesforce service offerings, accelerators, methodologies, reference architectures, and reusable assets.
* Drive Salesforce pipeline generation, services bookings, revenue attainment, backlog conversion, and margin performance.
* Translate market trends and Salesforce platform innovation into credible investment plans and customer value propositions. Salesforce Capability Ownership
* Own strategy, growth, capability development, and delivery oversight across Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Agentforce and AI, CRM, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Industry Clouds, Revenue Cloud / CPQ, and Customer Success and Managed Services.
* Balance deep Salesforce specialization with integrated MarTech solutions and measurable business outcomes.
* Build certification, specialization, and delivery-readiness plans aligned to forecast customer demand. Sales and Business Development Leadership
* Serve as executive sponsor for strategic Salesforce pursuits and priority customer relationships.
* Participate directly in executive client meetings, discovery workshops, solution reviews, proposal reviews, and deal strategy sessions.
* Partner with Client Executives, Solution Executives, Alliances, and delivery leaders to develop account strategies and advance pursuits.
* Ensure Salesforce delivery expertise is incorporated early in the sales process to improve solution quality, feasibility, margin, and delivery confidence.
* Support proposal development, statements of work, estimation, pricing strategy, and contract review.
* Lead a consistent rhythm of business for Salesforce pipeline reviews, forecasting, and account-growth planning. Salesforce Ecosystem and Partner Leadership
* Establish and maintain executive relationships across the Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce and strategic implementation, distribution, and services partners.
* Lead joint business planning, go-to-market alignment, co-sell motions, partner sourcing strategies, capacity alignment, delivery governance, and escalation management.
* Educate partners on CDW capabilities, delivery models, and priority offerings.
* Ensure partner-supported delivery aligns with CDW quality, commercial, security, and customer-experience expectations. Delivery Excellence and Customer Success
* Provide executive oversight for strategic Salesforce customers and complex engagements.
* Ensure engagements meet customer expectations for quality, financial performance, delivery excellence, and customer satisfaction.
* Establish repeatable delivery methodologies and governance across project initiation, scope management, financial controls, change management, status reporting, risk management, and engagement closure.
* Monitor portfolio health, project risks, customer satisfaction, resource needs, and commercial performance.
* Act as an escalation leader for significant delivery, customer, contractual, staffing, and partner issues.
* Partner with project and delivery leaders to identify risks early, establish recovery plans, and maintain effective executive communication. Financial and Operational Management
* Drive services revenue, gross margin, utilization, forecasting, backlog conversion, and overall Salesforce portfolio performance.
* Maintain accurate forecasts for pipeline, revenue, staffing demand, delivery capacity, and project completion.
* Ensure project financials, staffing plans, partner costs, and delivery assumptions are reviewed and actively managed.
* Identify and address margin leakage, delivery inefficiencies, unplanned effort, scope expansion, and resource constraints.
* Establish operating cadences for portfolio reviews, project governance, workforce planning, pipeline review, and financial performance. People and Workforce Leadership
* Lead, coach, develop, and retain Delivery Managers, Engagement Leads, Salesforce architects, consultants, engineers, and project professionals.
* Develop future Salesforce practice and delivery leaders through coaching, succession planning, and meaningful stretch opportunities.
* Drive Salesforce certification programs, capability development, mentoring, hands-on delivery experience, and structured learning.
* Align workforce capacity and skills with forecasted customer demand and strategic priorities.
* Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
* Lead effectively across distributed United States and global delivery teams.
What we expect of you
Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience, plus 10+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform delivering large-scale enterprise Salesforce technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support, with at least three years of leadership experience.
* 5-7 years CRM experience. Required Leadership Capabilities
* Ability to lead teams, build consensus, and create accountability across matrixed organizations.
* Ability to identify and creatively resolve customer, project, commercial, and people issues.
* Proven negotiation skills and experience working with technology vendors and business partners.
* Ability to collaborate across Sales, Solutions, Services, Alliances, and leadership teams.
* Strong written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor within strategic customer and partner relationships.
* Ability to navigate organizational change, ambiguity, delivery pressure, and risk while maintaining sound judgment.
* Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and develop long-range plans for complex services, solutions, and capabilities. Salesforce-Specific Experience Preferred
* 10+ years leading Salesforce consulting, delivery, or professional-services organizations.
* Experience building or scaling a Salesforce consulting or delivery practice.
* Experience managing Salesforce alliance and ecosystem relationships.
* Experience driving services pipeline, bookings, revenue, margin, and utilization outcomes.
* Experience leading large Salesforce implementations and managed-services engagements.
* Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Agentforce, CRM, or Industry Clouds.
* Salesforce certifications strongly preferred.
* Experience owning P&L, forecasting, staffing, workforce planning, and practice operations preferred.
* Ability to connect Salesforce investments to customer outcomes such as growth, customer experience, marketing efficiency, personalization, operational scalability, and data-driven decision-making.
