The Sr. Manager plays an integral role in the Partner Strategy & Analytics team. In close partnership with the Product Marketing and other functional teams, the Sr. Manager is responsible for leveraging data and analytics to deeply understand our university partners and build strategies to support their performance and growth. The Sr. Manager will gain exposure to all aspects of strategy work, including functional and commercial strategies in our product, marketing, revenue, and enrollment services functions. Working on a cross-functional project basis to provide thought leadership across the organization, you will be required to understand highly complex data, develop frameworks for identifying performance challenges, develop hypotheses, and deliver value-added strategic recommendations to drive growth for our university partners. The successful Sr. Manager will excel in bringing structure and objectives to tackle unstructured problems. This is a people-manager role with several analysts reporting to the Sr. Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Data-driven Analysis: You’ll be expected to handle highly detailed partner performance data analytics and facilitate internal stakeholder conversations to build data-driven strategies that drive long-term growth
Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to define data analytics strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives, driving innovation and continuous improvement
Collaboration and Partnership: You are expected to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and become a thought partner to them in deeply understanding the performance of our university partners and building strategies to drive growth
Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of data analytics initiatives, leveraging insights to drive business performance improvements
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate findings and insights to diverse stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and team members, through compelling presentations and reports
Business Understanding: Form a deep understanding of AP’s processes, systems/tools, personnel, strategic direction, and broader market ecosystem
Leadership: Mentor and develop high-caliber strategy & operations analyst team, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of partner projects
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with proven record of achievement and quantitative proficiency
5+ years experience in a professional services organization (consulting, private equity, investment banking) and/or cross-functional leadership role (corporate finance / decision support, corporate strategy, business operations, or corporate transformation)
Fluency in data (strong in Excel, SQL) and its communication (e.g. high-quality slide)
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science area is preferred
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Python and R, as well as data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus
Experience in leading teams and people development is preferred
