We’re seeking a Senior Manager, External Reporting & Technical Accounting to join us in our mission to transform the discovery of therapeutics and materials.
As a member of our Accounting team, you will own the evaluation and documentation of complex accounting matters, lead external financial reporting activities, and partner closely with Finance leadership, external auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This individual will play a critical role in translating complex accounting guidance into practical business solutions while helping the organization develop strong financial infrastructure.

What you’ll do:
- Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits, ensuring timely support and responses
- Lead or assist in monthly and quarterly close procedures, including preparation of all SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, etc.)
- Research and document complex accounting issues and non-routine transactions, preparing position memos and supporting documentation (e.g., equity, debt, consolidation and business combinations)
- Analyze new accounting pronouncements—including FASB pronouncements, SEC regulations, and tax laws—and assist in implementing them across the organization
- Ensure internal control compliance through documentation of accounting policies and procedures, supporting audit readiness
What you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA designation strongly preferred)
- At least six years of relevant SEC reporting experience, Big 4 audit experience preferred
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and accounting ERP systems
- Experience with Workiva WDesk or similar software is a plus
- Experience with M&A transactions is a plus

Estimated base salary range: $145,000 - $185,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
