This is a remote position that will require travel to partner locations. This position requires travel to all US time zones. Candidates must reside and be authorized to work within the United States.


About the Role: 

Our goal is to improve and enhance the Resident Supply Chain network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner. The Senior Manager, Demand Planning acts as the functional and financial owner and lead responsible for inventory forecasts across all channels. This role will lead the team responsible for developing and executing the demand planning strategy, tools and reporting. The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills. This is a remote position that might require travel. Holidays are peak times for our business and work may be required. This position requires travel to all US time zones. Candidates must live in the United States to be considered for this position. 


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own the functional and financial bridge between channel owners and the supply team; creating accurate demand forecasts, balancing historical data, market trends, and sales inputs to predict customer demand across multiple product lines 
  • Manage the teams responsible for demand plans 
  • Close alignment with Supply Planning team to ensure data accuracy and visibility of demand signals to ensure accurate supply plans 
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to address demand fluctuations, seasonality, and supply chain disruptions. 
  • Develop and leverage analytical tools to identify trends, forecast errors, and demand patterns, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and other departments 
  • Develop scalable solutions; including being involved in the process for identifying and implementing demand/supply planning software 
  • Evaluate and implement data and analytical tools (including AI) to enhance our planning stack
  • Own and drive the KPIs of the team to hold partners accountable for their demand plan inputs 
  • Utilize exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence business, operations and technical audiences 


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - preferably with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Engineering or STEM Degree 
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Planning or as an Operations / Planning Manager 
  • 1+ Years of work or academic experience with databases (Google Big Query is a plus) 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and clear analytical ability with proof points of how to use data to drive performance improvements 
  • Exceptional spreadsheet skills

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus 
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills 
  • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to own and follow through on issues 
  • Ability to apply sound, independent judgment and discretion on matters of substantial importance to the company in performing duties, resolving complex problems, and interpreting policies and regulations 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in a fast-paced, start-up e-commerce environment with the ability to quickly get up to speed, iterate and take on other projects 
  • Experience with order management, manufacturing, and distribution processes 
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently & within a decentralized team 
  • Experience leading a small team 
  • Strong attention to detail & organization skills
