Role DescriptionGivebutter is hiring a Senior Manager of Demand Generation to own and grow the programs that put Givebutter in front of the right organizations at the right time. In this role, you'll set strategy, guide multi-channel campaigns, oversee budgets, and drive measurable pipeline growth.
You'll lead a team and be accountable for the full inbound pipeline. You won't be executing campaigns yourself, but you'll be the strategic force guiding your team's work, reviewing their output, and reporting on the health and performance of the function.
You'll be given healthy budgets, a high-performing team, and clear metrics to measure your impact. This role sits within the Marketing org and reports to marketing leadership with a direct line to pipeline outcomes.
We want to hear from people who…
Are goal-obsessed. You have a track record of relentlessly pursuing the targets you set your sights on. You take initiative, try new things, bend the rules, and work around obstacles to hit your numbers and have a strong bias to action.
Are tinkerers. You're not a professional developer, data scientist, or web designer — but you're not afraid to dabble in any of them. You build scrappy, effective solutions when the right tool doesn't exist yet.
Start from the customer and work backwards. You're not dogmatic about a specific tool or approach. You begin with a deep understanding of the customer and work backwards to craft smart, resonant strategies for reaching and influencing them.
Want to grow a team. You're a champion for the people you manage. You have a demonstrated ability to develop high performers, give timely and structured feedback, and create an environment where your team does their best work.
Can zoom in and out. You think in strategy and systems — but you have enough execution chops (especially in paid search or marketing ops) to know when something isn't right and course-correct quickly.
Responsibilities
Develop and own the demand generation strategy across paid search, paid social, and event channels and show a clear through line to pipeline and revenue targets.
Build quarterly campaign plans with your team, aligning on goals, timelines, and resource allocation before execution begins.
Partner with the outbound GTM function to ensure marketing-sourced leads are well-qualified and properly handed off.
Review campaigns, copy, targeting strategies, and performance reports before they go live or get socialized upward.
Own the reporting layer for the demand generation function — tracking MQLs, CPL, pipeline sourced, and conversion rates at every stage of the funnel.
Build and maintain dashboards that give marketing leadership clear visibility into what's working, what isn't, and where budget should shift.
Work closely with content, product marketing, and sales to ensure demand generation programs are well-supported and tightly integrated.
Collaborate with RevOps to ensure proper lead routing, attribution tracking, and CRM hygiene across all inbound channels.
Be a credible, data-backed voice in budget conversations, advocating for investments with clear rationale.
Requirements
3-5+ years in demand generation, growth marketing, or performance marketing, with at least 2 years managing a team.
Strong strategic mindset; you can build a plan, align stakeholders, and hold a team accountable to it.
Hands-on background in paid search and/or marketing operations with enough experience to guide your team and push back when needed.
Comfort with analytics and reporting tools (GA4, Looker, HEX, HubSpot, or similar) and the ability to build clear performance narratives from data.
Experience managing six-figure+ marketing budgets with a clear ROI lens.
Experience scaling 1:many account-based marketing programs.
SaaS or B2B experience preferred; nonprofit tech or mission-driven company experience is a plus.
