We’re looking for a Senior Manager, CRM to own both the strategy and execution of end-to-end lifecycle marketing for an exciting new consumer product within our Marketplace team. As a seasoned and well-rounded marketer, you’ll design and build best-in-class CRM programs to drive customer acquisition, retention/loyalty, winbacks, and expand LTV.
Our ideal candidate has not only developed near- and long-term lifecycle marketing roadmaps for newly launched consumer products, but also possess hands-on experience operating in Iterable to bring the roadmap to life and has worked closely with internal and external partners to do so. Above all else, we’re looking for an individual with a bias for action who’s organized, collaborative, and can adapt with a fast-growing business unit and team.
You’ll report to the Head of Growth, New Ventures and work from our Santa Ana, CA or Jersey City, NJ office. Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.
What You’ll Do
Own End-to-End CRM: you’ll define our lifecycle marketing strategy to activate our base for this new product offering. At a high level, you will design the program and the motion to own the end to end lifecycle comms across customer acquisition, activation, and engagement / retention
Deliver results: as the single most important channel for this new business venture, your remit across lifecycle is core to our GTM strategy and the business’ performance across both new customer acquisition and retention
Test & learn: as the owner of this function, you’ll design marketing journeys and relentlessly test audience, messaging, timing, cadence, design, and incentives to achieve the various growth objectives of this program
Analyze, research, and hypothesize: partner with analytics, consumer insights, and the product organization to deeply study customer behavior in the product experience to identify behavioral patterns that lead to different customer outcomes (engagement vs. churn). Similarly, build different customer archetypes / personas that can be used as the basis for new customer acquisition as well as tailored communications for retention and other lifecycle comms
Player / Coach: as the owner of this, you will own both strategy and execution, partnering with cross-functional teams across creative, design, marketing, analytics, and product to build, execute, and measure success. As the program grows and we demonstrate success, there will be opportunities to build a team to scale the efforts
Who You Are
CRM Strategist: 5-8+ years of lifecycle marketing expertise with consumer-facing products (ecommerce, marketplaces, and/or entertainment)
Iterable Tactician: mastery of CRM execution with 2-3+ years of hands-on experience operating in Iterable
Player / Coach: as the strategist, you'll own core decision making and program design; as the tactician, you'll also own execution although a significant piece of that will be cross-functional coordination and management
Data Informed Marketer: comfortable leveraging data for advanced customer segmentation, A/B testing, performance analytics, and ongoing optimization
Effective Communicator & Driver of Initiatives: skilled at clearly and directly communicating cross-functionally with stakeholders across all levels, from briefing creative to gaining leadership buy-in on strategy and driving teams to ship quickly
