What You Will Do
This role is for a hands-on visual storyteller and leader who lives at the intersection of creator and producer. This is not a social-only content creation role. This is a deeply integrated role that will impact our creative flow across all touch points. You'll shoot, direct, and edit content yourself while also leading an editor/motion designer and managing small-scale productions from concept to delivery. You'll work directly with our VP, Creative to establish what world-class content looks like for Chomps and then actually make it happen.
We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable behind the camera as they are leading a team; a player-coach who has strong opinions about what makes content work hard for the brand, the technical skills to execute at the highest level, and the experience to build a sustainable content engine. If bringing "never-before-done" ideas to life within scope while also helping us build a “what if we…” system of creativity excites you, then keep reading.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation (60% of your time)
- Direct and shoot stills and video for social media, paid advertising, e-commerce, packaging, and brand campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross functional leads to gain a deep understanding of strategic content needs across teams.
- Lead on-location and studio shoots from concept through delivery — alongside the VP, Creative and Operations Manager you’ll help manage logistics, talent, equipment, and creative execution.
- Produce content that's optimized for each platform's format, algorithm, and audience behavior.
- Bring concepts to life through directing; whether that's working with talent, capturing product, or creating lifestyle content.
- Generate high-quality asset banks (stills, b-roll, lifestyle footage) that can be repurposed across channels.
- Jump into editing when needed.
- Test new formats, styles, and techniques to keep Chomps content fresh and culturally relevant.
- Content Production Leadership (40% of your time)
- Scope projects, manage timelines and budgets, identify when to produce in-house versus hire external partners, and ensure every production runs smoothly from brief to delivery.
- Lead an editor/motion designer, providing creative direction and helping them grow their craft.
- Establish repeatable workflows for content production so we can move fast without reinventing the wheel every time.
- Work closely with the VP of Creative and Creative Operations Manager to shape the production work-flows and build a rolodex of trusted partners.
- Keep a pulse on what's resonating in the world that feels relevant for our brand – and have a POV on how that can be applied to our world building.
- Highly organized with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with freelance producers when large scale productions are required.
