Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Commercial Intelligence will lead how Zelis brings data, performance trends, and market context together to deliver compelling, executive-ready business reviews for our most strategic clients. This role is responsible for transforming reporting into clear value stories that support stronger client relationships, more strategic conversations, and better enterprise decision-making.This is a player-coach role for a leader who can both shape high-impact client narratives directly and guide a team in delivering consistent, insight-driven business reviews at scale. The Senior Manager will serve as a strategic thought partner to senior client-facing leaders and executives, helping Zelis elevate top client engagements from reporting updates to value-led conversations.
Center of Excellence Leadership & Enablement
Define the standards and quality bar for executive-ready business reviews
Coach and develop a high-performing team focused on insight generation and storytelling
Create repeatable frameworks and guidance that help scale high-quality client narratives across strategic accounts
Executive-Level Insight & Storytelling
Establish success metrics for Business Reviews including insight depth, consistency, and executive impact
Translate complex data, KPIs, and market signals into clear, compelling executive narratives for executive client audiences
Develop points of view on market dynamics, client performance, and emerging trends
Present insights with executive presence, shaping strategic conversations with senior client stakeholders
Elevate Business Reviews from reporting to decision-oriented, insight-first engagements: connecting performance results to enterprise value, business outcomes, and forward-looking opportunities
Market & Trend Leadership
Identify meaningful client, product, and market trends and translate them into relevant executive talking points
Help evolve enterprise benchmarks and insight libraries that strengthen value narratives across strategic accounts
Synthesize emerging themes to inform leadership decisions, client messaging, and account strategy
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner closely with Sales, Client Success, Revenue Operations, Analytics, Product, and Business Units to shape value-led engagement strategies for Zelis’ top strategic clients
Act as a trusted advisor on how to communicate impact, performance, and future opportunity in a way that resonates with senior client stakeholders
Support top client Business Reviews directly; coach broader teams via office hours and structured enablement
AI & Automation Strategy
Help shape the vision for AI-enabled business reviews and scalable insight generation
Support requirement development for reporting automation, insight generation, and next-best-action capabilities
Partner with data, product, and engineering teams to prioritize capabilities that improve narrative quality, efficiency, and strategic relevance
Identify opportunities to automate low-value manual work so the team can focus more on insight development and executive storytelling
Required
2-4 years' experience in a top-tier consulting firm along with a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related analytical discipline
Deep expertise in executive-level reporting, insight generation, and strategic storytelling
Exceptional analytical skills with strong data fluency and trend interpretation
Demonstrated executive presence
Experience in healthcare, payments, or complex B2B environments
Experience leading global or offshore teams
Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, automation, or advanced reporting platforms
Demonstrated academic rigor with strong quantitative and analytical foundations
Leadership Attributes

Highly credible, influential, and confident communicator
Insight-driven decision maker who focuses on “so what” and implications
Strong people leader who sets a high bar for quality and performance
Strongly Preferred
MBA or Master’s degree - A Masters in Data Analytics is strongly preferred
Strategy, Finance, Economics, or Analytics concentration preferred
Graduate education that emphasizes:

Location and Workplace Flexibility
We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
Base Salary Range
$139,000.00 - $176,700.00At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
