Fusion Health is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and self-directed Senior Learning Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will operate as a senior-level individual contributor who leads complex training initiatives, designs scalable instructional programs, and drives continuous improvement across our client training ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings deep training experience, excels in fast-paced and highly technical environments, and can transform ambiguity into structured, repeatable training solutions. We are seeking someone who is both a training expert and a change agent - a confident professional who provides clarity, elevates quality standards, mentors other trainers, and builds training systems that scale.

Corrections experience is a plus, but not required. What matters most is the ability to bring strategic thinking, operational rigor, and strong facilitation to a mission-critical healthcare technology environment.

About Us:

Fusion Health was founded in 2006 and provides HealthTech solutions that proactively manage the quality of life for underserved patients managed by government agencies such as Public Health, Rehabilitation & Corrections. Our mission is to deliver impactful solutions that drive efficiency for clinicians in movement-restricted communities.

Fusion Health has been recognized by INC as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for four consecutive years, #38 in the NY Tri-State area, and #8 in New Jersey. Fusion has also been recognized by Deloitte on its Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology companies in the United States.

Building a quality team takes a lot of work. Our founder and CEO, Bryan Jakovcic (EY Entrepreneur of the Year) works hand in hand with our Human Resources team and we are searching the globe for the Fusionite of tomorrow. Our team is among some of the brightest and most inspiring in the industry. To boot, they love working at Fusion so much that we have been certified as a Great Place to Work by Fortune!

We pride ourselves on our modern company culture as a vibrant and diverse group. Guided by our shared values, we thrive in an environment where collaboration and openness are valued. Our headquarters is located in Woodbridge, New Jersey, just minutes from several major train stations. Lovingly known as HQ4, it features high-tech open working spaces, multiple meeting areas, café, a gym, and an arcade! Our satellite office locations are also equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and similar amenities.

A positive culture is a core fundamental at Fusion. While we are looking for the brightest minds around, ideal Fusionites should be strong problem solvers, be able to work independently, have great communication skills, and have a fun/energetic personality.

To date, Fusion has phenomenal retention of our team members. Our fundamental belief is that employee satisfaction is critical to achieving our mission/vision, so we provide competitive compensation, professional development, career advancement opportunities, and a supportive team-based atmosphere. We also provide a full range of health-related benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K.

We also offer numerous work-life enhancements such as:

  • Work From Anywhere (WFA) program (up to 100 days WFA per year)
  • 20 PTO Days to start, with an additional PTO day per year for each year you are a Fusionite (up to 30 PTO days max/year)
  • Business casual dress code
  • Easy-going corporate structure. We hate red tape.
  • Accessible leadership.
  • A REALLY COOL OFFICE (Click for Photos)

The Senior Learning Specialist plays a critical leadership role in delivering high-quality training to end users in correctional healthcare environments and building the systems that support scalable learning. This role requires advanced instructional design skills, deep EHR workflow knowledge (or the ability to learn quickly), and strong cross-functional communication.

You will own complex training projects across multiple modules, clients, or phases of implementation, and act as a senior member of the Training team with elevated expectations for autonomy, quality, and impact.

What You'll Do:

Design & Delivery

  • Develop and deliver multi-day or multi-module end-user training programs for our proprietary EHR, tailored to correctional healthcare environments.
  • Lead both virtual and in-person training sessions for clinical, operational, and leadership staff with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Build scalable, workflow-aligned instructional materials including guides, SOPs, simulations, and eLearnings.

Strategic Training Ownership

  • Own large or complex training initiatives across clients - including curriculum scoping, content development, delivery, and post-training refinement.
  • Assess existing training materials and lead redesign efforts to enhance clarity, consistency, and scalability.
  • Ensure training materials remain updated in alignment with product releases and system changes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Implementation, Product, and Client Operations to ensure training aligns with system functionality and deployment timelines.
  • Communicate training strategy, risks, and outcomes to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during go-lives, providing hands-on support, triage, and rapid-response education.

Quality, Measurement & Innovation

  • Track training effectiveness using qualitative feedback and analytics; iterate and improve to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Drive innovation through new learning modalities: microlearning, blended learning, simulations, workflow-based scenarios, or LMS structure improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of Fusion’s internal certification and train-the-trainer programs.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor junior trainers and contractors by modeling best practices and providing coaching and structured feedback.
  • Help elevate training team standards, templates, frameworks, and processes to support organizational scale.

Who You Are:

  • You have 6–8 years of experience delivering training in healthcare, health tech, EHR implementation, or complex systems environments. Correctional healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Proven success independently owning large training initiatives or multi-phase training programs.
  • Advanced communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse clinical and operational audiences.
  • Strong instructional design capabilities, including developing structured curricula, eLearning, simulations, guides, and SOPs.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, create structure in ambiguity, and make informed decisions with limited oversight.
  • Experience collaborating across technical, clinical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and willing to travel as needed.
  • Passionate about driving change, improving user adoption, and increasing the overall impact of training in healthcare settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring or coaching other trainers or instructional designers.
  • Experience contributing to LMS structure, certification programs, or scalable learning systems.
  • Familiarity with FusionEHR or similar EHR/EMR platforms.

Additional Details:

  • This role can be based at our Woodbridge, NJ HQ or fully remote.
  • Travel to client sites will be required.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience. Please include compensation expectations in your application.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000.
  • At Fusion, our salary ranges are designed to be competitive within our size and industry. Compensation is just one component of a comprehensive total rewards package that also includes benefits, flexibility, and growth opportunities.
  • Individual pay decisions are informed by several factors, including location, experience, qualifications, skillset, and internal equity across the organization. While we expect most offers to fall within the stated range, each compensation decision is made thoughtfully, with consideration for both the candidate’s unique profile and our commitment to pay parity.
