The Impact of a Senior Lead Cloud Architect at Coupa:

We are seeking an experienced architect to join our Cloud Architecture Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP and familiar with either Azure or AWS. This role requires deep technical expertise in GCP services and architecture patterns, along with practical experience or familiarity with integrating and migrating services from Azure/AWS. You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platform that meet our business objectives.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design and architecture of GCP. Provide expert guidance and technical leadership to development and operations teams on GCP’s cloud-native architectures, patterns, and services.
  • Design network connectivity and data migration strategies for workloads from other cloud environments.
  • Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, standards, and best practices along with the rest of Cloud Architecture team. 
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform. Automate cloud operations tasks where possible.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize cloud environments for cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.
  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation for cloud architectures, standards, and procedures.
  • Occasional travel required to collaborate in person with Coupa teams across the globe.
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization in an agile environment where quick iterations and feedback are a way of life.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • Experience designing GCP cloud platforms supporting large organization spanning multiple projects.
  • Software experience automating subscription/account management, identity and access management.
  • Deep familiarity with GCP networking, storage, identity, and container service such as GKE.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code managing GCP cloud resource via Terraform.
  • Experience with multi-cloud connectivity between Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Hands-on development experience using any programming language - Go, Ruby, Python preferred.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in coding, data structures, networking, virtualization, design principles, and programming concepts
  • A critical thinker, resourceful, problem-solver who has a passion for applying technology to improve orginization efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, a forward-thinking personality, a leader, a pragmatic approach to decision-making, outcome-driven, open-minded, creative and consistently seek to innovate and raise the bar.
  • Has a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
