Opportunity (Part-Time): Senior Joint Maritime Doctrine Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking an experienced Senior Joint Maritime Doctrine (SME) to support a U.S. Government Institutional Capacity Building (ICB) initiative focused on the development of joint air-maritime operations doctrine. The SME will contribute to the refinement and validation of draft doctrinal documents through advisory sessions, facilitated workshops, and tailored simulations.
Location: Remote support (CONUS) with periodic travel to an OCONUS location within the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) as part of a US government contract.

Activities will include knowledge transfer seminars, doctrinal workshops, scenario-based simulations, and structured advisory engagements designed to foster collaborative doctrinal development and institutional alignment.

- Non travel months: Approximately 30-40 hours/month.
- Engagement: Approximately 100 hours/month during engagement months. (1st engagement in September 2025)
- Post-Engagement: Support as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience with US security cooperation or liaising with foreign partners as a U.S. Navy or Marine Foreign Area Officer (FAO) or U.S. Coast Guard Liaison Officer
- Expertise in doctrine development in a joint or combined maritime operations environment
- Experience supporting military headquarters at the service or geographic command level in the INDOPACOM AOR. (O-5/O-6 or unique E-9 experience)
- Experience in assessment and drafting of strategic documents with a multi-national team utilizing virtual tools and techniques.
- U.S. Secret Security Clearance required.
