A Day in the Life:
The Senior Java Developer will build scalable, predictable, high-quality and high-performing web applications.
- Build and maintain high-performance systems using Java and J2EE
- Develop and optimize serverless applications using AWS Lambda for monthly portfolio processing
- Design and implement RESTful services to integrate internal leasing applications with tax calculation engines
- Write and manage complex SQL queries and data structures within a Postgres environment
- Develop new functionality within the core leasing and tax service codebases
- Use Postman to test and validate data transmission across the entire lease lifecycle
- Collaborate daily using IntelliJ and GitHub for version control and code management
- Engage in paired programming and peer code reviews to ensure successful project delivery
- Work with Business Analysts to translate story maps and requirements into technical solutions
- Execute comprehensive test plans to ensure accuracy of financial and tax data
- Deliver code updates within the SDLC to meet aggressive project timelines and regulatory changes
- Align all daily development activities with CST working hours
