Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Senior Interiors Certification Engineer to join the Interiors Engineering team located in San Antonio, TX, El Segundo, CA, Seal Beach, CA, Long Beach, CA, Mesa AZ,  Oklahoma City, OK, St. Louis, MO or Charlston, SC.

Position Responsibilities:

• FAA and Military Airworthiness certification efforts
• Technical subcontract management
• Development of test plans, procedures and reports
• Support of hardware qualification activities
• Certification plan development and support showing of compliance
• Support of Aircraft integration and functional checkout
• Support risk management and change management activities
• Support of aircraft testing

This position is 100% onsite. This selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience creating work statements for suppliers which includes certification plans, component test plans, schedule and design documentation
• 3+ years of experience working with aircraft payloads/interiors certification processes and requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
• Experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors or suppliers
• Experience working with Design Engineering and Regulatory through all phases of certification; Amended Type Certification (ATC), Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and Military Type Certification (MTC)
• Experience working Systems Safety analysis
• Experience working certification readiness and management of many deliverables supporting several certification plans

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  The selected candidate will need to be located in the surrounding area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range for level: $136,850 – 212,750
