Role Description

Aligning to our Customer Strategy & Operations (CSO) organization and partnering with our Global Sales and Channel Leadership Teams, this role will play a critical part in building and maintaining a strong and flexible analytics foundation for Dropbox’s Sales Analytics team. 

This role will focus on driving consistency and scalability, bringing visibility to the metrics and insights that drive sales and channel performance, executing against business objectives, and driving operational excellence and governance inside of the team’s scope. 

As a Senior Insights Analyst, you will be working closely with Sales Leaders, Sales Strategy, Deal Operations, and Finance Leadership as a key business partner, as well as collaborating with DevOps and Engineering team(s) around infrastructure and governance. 

This is a highly impactful role that requires being able to link analytics to business implications, define the optimal data structure and foundation to support these analytics needs, and transform the output into actionable, high-impact recommendations that drives revenue growth.  A strong understanding of a sales led SaaS model - both motions and metrics - is a must. 

We are looking for someone who gets excited about data and is driven by to find meaningful recommendations, construct intuitive visualizations, optimize data workflows, and be a strong mentor to team members on best practices and industry standards.  The right person for this role will value data-driven insights, have an analytical approach to problem solving, and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment. 

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring reports, dashboards, ad hoc analyses, and KPIs to provide actionable business insights.
  • Drive standardization of data definitions aligned to industry best practices.
  • Synthesize and communicate data into an insightful story related to sales performance, forecasting, pipeline trends, productivity, customer value, and progress against industry benchmarks and sales methodology KPIs.
  • Work with large, complex datasets, applying statistical analysis, quantitative techniques, and qualitative assessment to generate meaningful insights.
  • Apply expertise in data visualization and analytics to create best-in-class dashboards and scorecards that provide timely, accurate visibility into sales organization and seller performance.
  • Partner closely with the broader Dropbox ecosystem to develop data-driven recommendations that reduce seller friction and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Contribute to the scoping, design, and delivery of data requirements and schema design to support end-to-end reporting automation and standardization for Sales Analytics.
  • Build strong, cross-functional relationships, establishing credibility as a subject-matter expert in your field.
Requirements
  • At least 12 years experience in B2B sales/revenue analytics with sales/revenue operations experience and exposure to the broad revenue generation ecosystem
  • Exposure to business intelligence functions and the broad revenue generation ecosystem
  • Experience in SaaS, specifically leading and successfully launching enterprise level analytics solutions and programs
  • Extensive data visualization experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Excel (or equivalent tools)
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (and/or R) with exposure to/understanding of ETL principles and querying large data lakes (e.g., Databricks)
  • Ability to tackle and solve complex technical problems with little direction
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in contextualizing SaaS sales performance indicators
  • Experience building automated analytics and scorecards using cloud-based platforms
  • Strong and effective communication in technical and business settings, from IC to Executive
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for scaling and automation, with AI/ML experience a strong plus
  • Experience monitoring and improving CRM data hygiene and operating requirements
  • Preference for those with an Operational or Sales-facing background vs. pure analytics
Compensation
Canada Pay Range
$117,300$158,700 CAD
