Join HubSpot’s Content Design team to scale content quality

At HubSpot, our Content Design team is focused on driving content quality at scale to help our global customers grow better. That doesn’t mean being stretched across dozens of teams or having your work dictated to you by your partners — it means we pursue the most strategic content design opportunities across the company where you can drive clear, cohesive, and consistent experiences for our customers.

You’ll identify and understand the hard problems affecting content health and quality and own the solutions to them. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners, including product managers, product designers, UX researchers, engineers, and others. You’ll also work closely with other content designers and be part of a close-knit team that cares about and deeply supports each other. Together, you’ll make a meaningful difference to our customers by making our products and customer experiences easier to understand, use, and enjoy.

Note: Content designers at HubSpot focus on product UX. They don’t work on content marketing, blogging, social media, long-form writing, or documentation.

What sets HubSpot content design apart?
  • Vision and strategy: We focus on driving content quality at scale across all of HubSpot’s products. Rather than siloing you into a single team (or even many teams), you’ll have freedom to reach broadly across our product landscape, helping all teams to improve the quality and consistency of content in their products.
  • AI as a lever, your skills as the fulcrum: You’ll have outsized impact by using the latest AI frontier models in ChatGPT, Gemini, Glean, and more to encode your knowledge and taste into systems and tools that help all teams do their best work.
  • Ownership & collaboration: You’ll help define the roadmap, priorities, setup, and strategy for our centralized CD team. You’ll own your projects and drive them forward with the help of a highly engaged and collaborative team. You’ll have autonomy to define new ways of working and put them into practice.
  • Global scale & foundation: You’ll play a key role in shaping the foundation of world-class software, directly impacting hundreds of thousands of users across the globe.
  • Innovate what’s next: Work hand-in-hand with content designers and cross-functional partners to define the future of our practice, AI, and quality customer experiences at scale.
What you’ll do
  • You’ll practice content design at scale to help all of our people and teams raise the quality bar for our customers. That doesn’t mean getting stretched thin across dozens of teams — instead you’ll be set up on a centralized content design team focused on systems, infrastructure, and enablement.
  • You’ll leverage AI tools, research, internal infrastructure, and more to create and influence systems, frameworks, and approaches to content design that help everyone ship the highest quality content to our customers.
  • You’ll create and refine reusable frameworks, AI-powered tools, and more to help all of your cross-functional partners create the highest-quality content and IA for our customers. You’ll deeply understand the barriers to content quality and enable everyone to do their best work.
  • You’ll add value to our content design systems for improving content quality, including Writer, our onboarding experience system, and more.
  • You’ll improve the way we work with platform and systems teams on ad hoc efforts — and how we learn from these engagements to understand Product-wide quality problems and opportunities to solve them.
What you’ll bring to HubSpot
  • Proven content design craft expertise: To stand out in the application process, share a portfolio that showcases your depth of craft, systems thinking, and measurable impact on users and the business, especially in complex, scalable, or platform environments. Please include at least three recent case studies highlighting these strengths.
  • Collaborative leadership: A history of influencing outcomes across disciplines by building trust, driving alignment, and championing user-centric solutions.
  • Thinking in systems and scale: Passion for connecting the dots across products and platforms, designing experiences that grow with our customers and business needs.
  • AI & automation curiosity: You’re excited to work with (and continue learning about) AI and automation, especially when it comes to how we can best elevate customer experiences with content or improve our systems and tools to enable our cross-functional partners to hit the highest quality bar.
  • Adaptability & change readiness: You fall in love with problems, not solutions, and can pivot when things change. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and maintain a proactive mindset. You’re energized by new challenges and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Growth mindset: You have a genuine drive to constantly learn, share your knowledge, and help yourself and others grow better every day.
