Overview of the Position Responsibilities: The Senior HRIS Specialist plays a critical role in modernizing HR capabilities by leveraging technology, process optimization, and data insights to deliver exceptional employee experience. This individual contributor role serves as a functional expert for UKG (HCM, WFM, PlanSource, HRSD, etc.) and Cognos Analytics, ensuring HR systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities meet business needs and drive organizational effectiveness. 

The role will partner with the HR team to design future state processes, implement scalable solutions, and lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance service delivery, efficiency, compliance, and data quality. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Lead HR process discovery and redesign efforts across full employee lifecycle activities, identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate workflows. 
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for resolving HR system issues—including timekeeping, scheduling, and payroll—ensuring timely and accurate issue resolution. 
  • Administer, maintain and optimize HRIS platforms and ensure systems remain secure, up-to-date, and function reliably. 
  • Serve as the UKG functional subject matter expert (SME), overseeing configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and workflow enhancements. 
  • Conduct system evaluations to identify opportunities to improve usability, data integrity, automation, and self‑service functionality. 
  • Support system integrations, data feeds, and interface performance to maintain data accuracy and operational efficiency. 
  • Develop and enhance HR dashboards and reports in Cognos Analytics, enabling accurate, timely, and data‑driven decision‑making. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system functionality, workflows, SOPs, and process maps. 
  • Apply strong analytical judgment to resolve routine and complex system issues to deliver practical and timely solutions 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

What You Will Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.  
  • 4+ years of experience in HR operations, HRIS, digital transformation, or HR process improvement. 
  • Handson experience working with UKG configuration and system integrations required.  
  • High Proficiency in Cognos Analytics and HR reporting, dashboards, and data visualization required. 
  • Knowledge of integration concepts (APIs, SFTP feeds) and data governance. 
  • Strong understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle. 
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Upon job offer, must be able to pass a background check and drug test. 

Salary range: $80,500 - $105,000
