Position Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated, service-oriented individual who wants to be part of an evolving HR team in a dynamic, fast-paced company. You will be supporting our employees in all areas of Human Resources such as policy development, performance management, employment law compliance, employee relations, and department development. This position will be on-site at Invenergy's downtown Chicago office.
Responsibilities
Conduct investigations on employee, customer and vendor complaints, including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination and violation of company policies.
Liaison between management and employees by handling questions and interpreting and administering policies.
Assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures, including maintaining employee handbooks. Provide recommendations to policy or procedure changes accordingly.
Maintain compliance with local, state and federal employment law keeping the HR team apprised of any changes.
Analyze and evaluate the impact of proposed legislation and rule changes; propose policy/procedural changes as necessary.
Assist and counsel managers on human resources and employment issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
At least 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist.
Strong working knowledge of employment laws and practices.
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
Proficiency using HRIS systems and Microsoft suite.
Ability to travel up to 15%

Base Pay
92,000.00 - 115,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
