The Job At-A-Glance:

The Senior HR Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming workforce data into actionable insights that shape enterprise-wide people strategies. Operating at the intersection of data analysis and human resources, this role leverages advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and reporting expertise to identify opportunities that enhance organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee experience.

This position requires deep technical acumen, business partnership skills, and the ability to interpret complex workforce dynamics across multiple dimensions of HR data.

At this level, the Senior HR Data Analyst operates with considerable autonomy, determining analytical methods and procedures on new assignments. The role requires balancing technical depth with strategic influence, contributing directly to business and talent strategies through data-driven insights.

A Typical Day:

Data Analysis & Modeling

  • Apply advanced statistical and predictive models to HR and workforce datasets to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead analytical initiatives that inform workforce planning, retention strategies, engagement programs, etc.
  • Design, test, and refine data models that evaluate the impact of HR programs on business performance.

Reporting & Visualization

  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and executive-level reporting on workforce metrics (e.g. turnover, headcount, mobility, performance, and compensation trends).
  • Act as product owner and administer the Visier People Analytics platform, ensuring data accuracy, optimizing configuration, and enabling business stakeholders to self-serve insights effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across systems and reports.
  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable narratives for nontechnical stakeholders.

Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with HR leaders, Finance, and Operations to align analytics with
  • organizational goals.
  • Consult with senior leadership to interpret data insights and recommend
  • evidence-based strategies.
  • Guide and mentor junior analysts in analytical methods, data interpretation,
  • and storytelling best practices.

Process & Policy Development

  • Direct the application of analytical frameworks that guide the development
  • of new HR policies and workforce planning models.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data governance, data quality, and
  • automation in HR reporting processes.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree and 6 years of experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record applying analytics and statistical modeling within HR, people analytics, or workforce planning functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools (e.g. Visier, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of HR systems (e.g. Workday, SuccessFactors) and related data structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex analytics projects from conception to delivery.

Skills & Competencies

  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and
  • synthesize complex, variable data.
  • Advanced understanding of workforce metrics, predictive modeling, and data governance principles.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive data informed decision-making.
  • Proven experience networking and collaborating across disciplines to achieve shared business outcomes.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
