About the Role
Engine is building a Growth Engineering function to solve some of our most important go-to-market challenges through software, data, and automation. We’re looking for a Senior Growth Engineer who combines strong engineering fundamentals with an understanding of how GTM teams operate.
You’ll sit at the intersection of engineering and go-to-market building production-grade systems that help us identify the right accounts, prioritize opportunities, automate workflows, and make our teams more effective.
Your Mission
Help Engine scale customer acquisition by building the technical systems behind how we source, prioritize, and engage accounts. You’ll work directly with Sales and Growth to uncover opportunities, experiment quickly, and turn the best ideas into reliable, scalable systems.
What You'll Own
- GTM Tools & Automation: Build internal tools, services, and automations that make Sales and Growth teams faster and more effective.
- Account Sourcing & Signals: Identify and operationalize creative data signals that help Engine find and prioritize high-potential accounts across existing and new verticals.
- Data & Integrations: Build pipelines and integrations that connect external data, Salesforce, and other GTM systems.
- Production Engineering: Design, build, deploy, and maintain reliable applications with strong architectural, security, and scalability practices.
- GTM Partnership: Work directly with sales reps and Growth leaders to understand workflows, identify friction, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experimentation: Prototype quickly, launch experiments, measure impact, and turn successful ideas into durable systems.
- Technical Quality: Help improve the architecture, reliability, and quality of tools and applications built across the Growth organization.
What You’ll Bring to Engine
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including building and maintaining production applications.
- Strong system-design fundamentals and experience making architectural decisions.
- Strong proficiency in a modern tech stack.
- Experience building APIs, integrations, data pipelines, internal tools, or automation systems.
- Experience working with or alongside Sales, Growth, Marketing, Revenue Operations, or another GTM function.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and modern data, enrichment, or automation tools.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to connect technical work to customer acquisition, efficiency, and revenue.
- A builder mindset - you’re comfortable moving from an ambiguous problem to a working solution and iterating quickly.
Nice to Have
- Experience with account prioritization, prospecting, enrichment, intent signals, or sales automation.
- Experience with Snowflake or a modern cloud data stack.
- Experience using AI or LLM-based tools to build or accelerate internal workflows.
- Experience in a B2B, SMB, marketplace, travel, or high-growth technology environment.
