Role Summary: Build the core TradeEngage platform as a full-stack engineer on an AI-native team. You'll own features end to end across the frontend, API, and data layer: job referrals, payments, field service integrations, and the experiences technicians use in the field. Target: 4+ years of full-stack engineering, product-minded, and hands-on with AI.
Role Overview
You'll own major features and systems from spec to production. Every feature touches multiple systems. One referral creates a job, notifies two companies, syncs with a field service platform, and pays a technician.
About TradeEngage
- We're the only enterprise-grade referral platform for home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pest control, and restoration). We've created a new way for companies to turn every job and every call into the next one through referrals
- Founding team: ex-VC/PE that covered home services software. Founding engineers from one of the largest B2B healthcare marketplaces, a Sequoia-backed unicorn
- Backed by former operators and executives from the largest home services companies in the world
- $650B market. We're building category-defining infrastructure for home service companies
- Enterprise customers are already signed and live
What's in it for You
- Post-PMF with enterprise customers signed and revenue compounding, and early enough for meaningful equity and product ownership
- You work directly with the founders. They ramp you up, then hand you the keys
- Work remote from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada, with the option to relocate or collaborate in person in Miami
What You'll Do
- Full-stack features: Own features from design to deployment across web, mobile web, and API layers. Build products that technicians and CSRs depend on for their income
- Integrations: Design and implement integrations with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, and other field service platforms
- Job routing and matching: Build the logic that matches jobs to the right partners based on service area, capacity, and relationship settings
- AI-native development: Use LLMs and AI tools in your daily workflow and help set how the team builds with them
Qualifications
Required
- 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including work at an early-stage startup
- Hands-on with AI. You've built agents or LLM-powered features in production and use Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools every day
- Technical depth. Production experience with React, Python, and PostgreSQL. You own features end to end across the frontend, API, and data layer
- Independent. You can lead a project from idea to production without hand-holding
- Product-minded. You care about why a feature exists and how customers use it, and you get into the weeds with users and code
- Founder mentality. You've started a company, been on a founding team, or shipped a side project real people used
- Location. Based in the U.S. or Canada
Preferred
- Marketplace, agentic routing, or integration-heavy experience
- Experience with field service platforms (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or similar)
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $145,000-$210,000 base, plus bonus
- Equity: Total compensation for this role may also include an early-stage equity package
- Location: Remote (U.S. or Canada), with travel to customer sites and industry events
- Benefits: Healthcare plan allocation, flexible PTO, and access to the office and company condo in Miami that can be used for trips and visiting family and friends!
