About the Team

We’re the Zoom Client team building Whiteboard’s core frontend, delivering real-time, high-performance

collaboration with Canvas and WebGL.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building real-time whiteboard features with React or Vue.

• Optimizing Canvas and WebGL rendering for smooth, low-latency drawing and interaction.

• Profiling and improving performance and memory across browsers and devices.

• Collaborating with designers, backend engineers, and QA to deliver polished, accessible experiences.

• Evolving frontend architecture and tooling to scale reliability and speed.

• Instrumenting analytics and experiments to guide product decisions and quality.

• Reviewing code and mentoring teammates to raise the technical bar.

What we’re looking for

• Bring strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills with a modern framework like React or Vue, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 4+ years in frontend development.

• Write high-quality, well-tested UI code and reusable components.

• Optimize graphics-heavy UIs using Canvas or WebGL, or learn quickly with guidance.

• Ship end-to-end features for real-time or collaborative web apps.

• Partner closely with Design, Backend, and QA to align on outcomes.

• Communicate clearly in code reviews and async docs.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
