About the team + role

The Senior Fraud Investigator - Customer Protection Team at Robinhood Markets Inc. is an outstanding opportunity to play a meaningful role in safeguarding our users' financial well-being. You will be at the forefront of identifying and mitigating fraudulent activities, helping to craft a flawless and secure customer experience. What you’ll do
  • Handle inbound phone calls from users with fraud restrictions, applying investigative techniques to resolve cases according to internal procedures and policies
  • Provide support and answer questions related to fraud investigations for junior and vendor investigators
  • Use critical thinking and pattern detection to proactively identify emerging fraud trends
  • Detail the rationale and determination for each alert, referring cases to other teams when necessary
  • Identify and propose improvement opportunities across people, processes, and technology in Fraud Operations
What you bring
  • 4+ years of experience in fraud investigations, with in-depth knowledge of various fraud activities such as Account Takeovers, Identity Theft, and Money Movement Fraud, or equivalent experience in related fields
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Capacity to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, legal, compliance, vendor partners, or financial crimes
  • Passion for mentoring and guiding junior fraud investigators and agents in their career development

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
