About the role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on finance leader to partner with company leadership in shaping and executing our financial vision. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in defining and operationalizing financial goals that align with broader business strategies. You’ll design scalable processes to support both internal operations and external financial needs, while proactively guiding decisions around growth, staffing, investments, and profitability. Your ability to translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable narratives will be essential in communicating performance and priorities to employees, investors, and the Board of Directors.

Your responsibilities- Create a driver-based financial forecast for both revenue and expenses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (eg, marketing, engineering, operations) to build and maintain various departments’ expense plan, including personnel and non-headcount expenses.
- Track and analyze variances between actual and forecasted financial performance, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Provide financial modeling and ad-hoc analysis to support new initiatives, business investments, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to departments, guiding them in financial matters and helping to align departmental objectives with company goals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with Accounting on the execution of company’s annual audit.
About You
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, with experience building complex financial models.
- Solid foundation in core finance and accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial insights clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships across departments.
- Highly self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or familiarity with the real estate market, fintech, or related industries is preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP or NetSuite Planning and Budgeting software is a plus.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to change in a startup or high-growth setting

Fully paid parental leave
- Point will true-up wages from state-applicable PFL earnings so that the employee’s total gross pay will be equivalent to 100% of their regular base pay, as well as two weeks of fully paid leave to be available after exhaustion of state PFL.
- For employees in states without Paid Family Leave, Point will provide up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave.
- In addition, all employees will receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time. For four weeks after returning from parental leave, and following the use of all other paid leave benefits, you may work part-time, meaning two or three days per week, and receive 100% of regular base pay.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary for this role at this level based on the market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Salary):
- Tier 1 | San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Los Angeles, & Seattle | $110,500 - $149,500
- Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego | $94,400 - $127,700
- Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $88,400 - $119,600
This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews, coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.
Location Requirement: This is a remote position. However, candidates must reside in one of Point’s states of operation: AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, KS, KY, MA, MI, MN, MO, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WA.
