Through our award-winning technology, Presence connects speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and mental health specialists to school districts nationwide. Our growing network of 2,000+ clinicians has delivered over 7 million teletherapy sessions to K-12 students.

We are a remote-first, distributed workforce of 200+ corporate employees, headquartered in New York. We place a high value on “cameras on” engagement, schedule coordination and cross-functional communication to stay connected with each other when working in different places. Many roles require travel to create opportunities to engage in-person with our school partners, our clinicians, and each other.

What will you do at Presence?

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst that wants to become a critical member of a small, high-horsepower team that’s designed to drive performance. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and optimizing key business drivers that achieve outcomes. This means that you will develop a deep understanding of the units and dollars that live beyond financial statements. If you want to learn about unit economics, ROI, operational drivers, and strategic finance, this role is for you.

You’ll report directly to the Finance Manager, work closely with the leadership team, and play a central role in FP&A and strategy. This is a rare opportunity to be a part of a modern finance function inside a mission-driven, growth-stage company transforming the delivery of special education.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst will help drive performance and outcomes by doing the following:

  • Partner Cross-Functionally to Drive Performance: Work closely with the finance team to partner with departments to set goals, track performance, and align spend to strategic priorities.
  • Support FP&A: Help prepare the annual budget and long range plan by consolidating and analyzing data, building and maintaining three-statement financial models, tracking key metrics, and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual variance reports.
  • Financial Reporting: Work closely with leadership to present the story with numbers as part of board decks, management presentations, or investor communications. This includes preparing slides and other ad hoc analysis that help narrate the story to relevant stakeholders.
  • Leverage Technology & AI to Modernize Finance: Identify and evaluate tools and systems that automate manual workflows, enable faster decision-making, and elevate finance’s strategic contributions across the company.

What we're looking for?

  • BA/BS degree required within Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with acute attention to detail required (submission of sample work will be required for finalists).
  • 3-5 years of finance experience with at least two years in VC, PE, or investment banking.
  • Experienced in preparing slides for internal or external consumption.
  • Tech-savvy and systems-oriented — bonus for experience with Business Intelligence platforms & Data Modelling, SQL or DAX, AI tooling in finance, knowledge of Python or Power Automate
  • Strong communicator and concise presenter - you can cut through the noise of deep financial analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude.

What are some of the benefits we offer?

  • Comprehensive Medical Coverage includes Dental and Vision.
  • Accrued PTO of 120 hours annually.
  • 11 Company Paid Holidays.
  • Benefits Package: including 401K savings plan and access to an Employee Assistance Program.
  • $500 home office stipend.
  • Paid Life insurance, AD&D., and disability benefits.
  • Paid parental and caregiving leave.
  • Eligibility to apply for a Professional Development Scholarship.
  • Inclusive Culture: We are intentional about creating a culture that is fun and inclusive.

This role is also eligible to participate in Presence’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

Salary Range: $100,000-$115,000 per year

Where is this position located?

  • Presence is headquartered in New York City, with our clients in the U.S.
  • We support remote work from other locations in the US.
  • This position will report directly to the Finance Manager.
  • All employees are committed to being available and on camera for our Core Working Hours, from noon to 5 pm EST M-F.

Eastern Time Zone hours preferred.
