RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Identify, investigate, and explain revenue and expense variances to budget, forecast, and prior years
  • Develop detailed, insightful, and actionable processes and tools to help management gain perspective and support decision-making
  • Analyze revenue data from agency management systems and sales pipeline data from Salesforce to build monthly revenue analyses
  • Monitor agency management systems to ensure data integrity for key financial information
  • Analyze compensation related data (headcount, producer compensation, and bonus) and assist in annual merit/bonus process
  • Assist accounting team with monthly close procedures to ensure proper accounting of revenue and producer compensation line items
  • Provide ad hoc support for FP&A projects

KEY COMPENTENCIES:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, entrepreneurial attitude, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to communicate clearly and build trust with senior management and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; a highly motivated self-starter

EDUCATION:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, financial forecasting, or modeling
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in finance or accounting are a plus

SKILLS:

  • Advanced Excel skills are essential. Must have strong knowledge of pivot tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other formulas.
  • Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting required
  • Understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition
  • Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Oracle products (Fusion, EPBCS), SQL, PowerQuery, and PowerBi are a plus

COMPENSATION: The national average salary for this role is $100 000.00 - $115 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
