About the Role:

The Senior Analyst reports to the Director of Finance and Senior Manager, Cloud Finance, to support the Finance team in a variety of corporate finance initiatives to solve critical finance, strategy, and operations related problems across the organization. The role offers a unique ability to work across teams to see how a fast-growing business operates and is a great platform to learn how to operationalize change at scale. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, has a strong attention to detail, and can multi-task in a results-oriented environment.

Crusoe is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the growing Crusoe Cloud organizational needs. This position is a highly visible role that interacts regularly with executive management. You must be comfortable working under deadlines and cross-collaborating. The candidate will be involved in various initiatives centered around short and long term financial planning, capital budgeting, and creating materials to present key operational and financial metrics to the Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Depending on the individual’s abilities and organizational needs, you will also be involved with capital raises, corporate strategy, and investor relations.

A Day in the Life:

  • The Senior Analyst will use their advanced excel modeling skills, strategic style, and cross functional expertise to design and update models (ranging in complexity) for project development, financing transactions, internal forecasting and to enable corporate planning and budgeting

  • Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis, to produce outputs for external and internal purposes

  • Maintain and update robust Excel cash flow models across project, entity and corporate levels, including re-forecasting across both weekly and monthly 5-year plan

  • Perform analytical review and variance analysis of internal models against historical data and trends, to evaluate financial & operational performance

  • Lead external and internal due diligence processes for project development and debt raise processes, supporting various areas of the business

  • Provide analytical support on key projects and initiatives, and produce tools to analyze specific business opportunities

  • Produce clear and articulate marketing material such as teasers and presentations

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Accounting, Digital Infrastructure and Cloud operations teams to ensure Finance model assumptions reflect latest assumptions

  • Create new models based on ad hoc transactions across the business segments and business needs

  • Support finance efforts to add value to business partners across the organization, including data analysis, tracking, and reporting on operating metrics & KPIs

  • Support Finance team in day-to-day tasks, including implementing various financial analyses, forecast and budget processes, and preparing relevant deliverables

  • Mentor and train junior staff

  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed

You Will Thrive In This Role If:

  • Desire to work in a result-oriented, dynamic fast growth environment

  • Track record of success in one or more of the following focus areas: FP&A, Investment Banking, CFO advisory or consulting background, with 4+ years of experience

  • Motivated self-starter and team player; ability to work collaboratively

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Ability to model complex financial and operational concepts and issues; and translate model findings to clear and actionable recommendations and insights

  • Experience leading or supporting financial due diligence

  • Works under general supervision with relatively little guidance necessary, can take direction well

  • High attention to detail is a must

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, and full MS Office suite required

  • Knowledge of GAAP and SEC requirements

  • Experience in Structured Finance a plus 

  • Client or industry experience in one or more of the following: Technology, Real Estate Development / Data Center Infrastructure, Energy

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar field

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $115,000-$150,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
